ok so i am making this post to try and shine a little light on the whole "bad juju sucks" deal by attempting to describe the best way to use it.
so lets get into it with the largest problem people are having shall we? the clip size. most people are so astonished by that number 15 that like me when i first saw the gun they lose sight of the potential. once you get string of curses if used correctly the bad jujus clip size is infinite.
"but newns 15 shots isnt even enough to kill a captain..."
no your right, but bad juju is not designed to be a "boss killer" kind of weapon, its more specked to be a minion sweeper, something to take the heat off the members in your group who use the high damage weapons on the higher level mobs. you can kill a dreg in just one burst, after that first burst of head shots to the dreg not only do you get a fresh clip but a damage boost, so you can kill a vandal in about 4 or 5 head sots, thats 2 more bursts till a new full clip. (little known fact, string of curses dose not use ammo from your reserve, it literally pulls bullets out of thin air for you and places them in your mag)
now i will admit, getting it to that upgrade can be painful. but once you get it there, used in this way you will never find yourself needing bullets and never be on the bottom of the list for kills.
hope this helped at all please leave opinions

I view most primary weapons as minion-killers. Not the best when tackling bosses or in PvP. Granted AR are over powered (there's very little argument to the contrary) in PvP, primaries in general don't seem to be intended for laying waste to gold-health or Crucible opponents. That's the job of the special and heavy weapons. My snipers are my go-to for environmental heavy-hitters because they do 5-10 times the damage as my hand cannon or scout rifles. In the Crucible I choose a secondary based on the map, because each represents a different 1-hit kill criteria. That's what they are supposed to do. But I just don't see primary weapons, exotic or otherwise, being equal in the department of pure force. They are less situational, more balanced in their use. You don't need to be 5 feet or less to kill, or 10 yards or more to aim effectively. They take longer to kill something that isn't low quality, but their threat ranges and situations of usefulness are so much broader.

It's good for pve when fully upgraded. Still shitty on PvP though.

Cool info, thanks! Gonna try out using it this way.

Finished the bounty this morning. And used it 30 min ( so far ) on patroll. I absolutely love how it look. But the 15 round mag is a deal braker tho. I will keep it around till after the buff. But chances are its getting scrapped.

"Okay let's raid, everyone bring your most powerful gear. Except you, your job is to kill the grunts and occasionally tickle the boss instead of bringing a more powerful weapon to effectively kill grunt types and dish out damage to bosses."

Finally a post from someone that actually knows how too use the game mechanics. Totally agree with you here. Every weapons as a proper way and improper way to use them. The bad juju is a minion killer. You could literally suvived and endless swarm of tralls coming at you.

So what your saying is equipping a blue will server your fire team better than a bad juju?

good post but Bungie even said the guns shit. but way to make the best of it string of curses is my next skill cant wait to stop running out of ammo. on another note tried using it in iron banner yesterday haha couldn't even take down a hunter shield.

Bunjie said that its being buffed, so I would hazard to guess that even they think it's a bit crud at the moment.
