No trading, absolutely not. This game isn't supposed to be easy. Earn your stuff.
My opinion of course. With trading you and your "buddies" decide what you get, the Destiny dice are unbiased, and unbiased is the ultimate fair factor.

I chuckled when I read "you earn your stuff". Hahahaha!!!!!

this is an absurd way of thinking, you aren't "earning" anything in this game. Random item drops only block content and slow progression. For a game thats a pretty mild challenge at best not being able to trade is only blocking players from content while they replay the the same levels over and over and over again. Its like working on a factory line and haveing your name be picked out of a hat to get a cookie. The reward has nothing to do with the amount of effort you put in, you only got it because it just so happens your name was pulled from a hat on the same day you bothered to go in for work.

Then choose where you work. The activities dictate what you get, hence you replay the activities with higher yields of items you want. It's not as random as you're making it out to be. In the end the content is there and you will eventually get something when you accomplished something. The RNG is going to be unbiased in its distribution. Trading does seem like a way to get great items in more peoples hands but it also saturates the game with good gear to just about anyone. I'm not saying the way it is is perfect but I prefer it.
It's not as random as you're making it out to be.
Yes it is that random. The nightfall and several other activities only serve a purpose once a week, which means you have ONE chance every week (per character) to get anything decent. These ideas are bogus, it's to reminiscent of mobile games and their "time limits" in games like castle crashers, it's absolutely rediculous.

The worst part is that after you complete all the missions once, they become irrelevant, there's absolutely no reason to go back and play them unless they get picked to be the daily heroic. There needs to be some kind of reason to go back and replay those missions. If you could replay each mission once a week on a level close / above your own for an engram + some bonus XP or something that would give people a reason to play what little content outside of the daily / weekly / raid / nightfall more often.
