Yeah.. I have seen those guys too. They are just annoying. Most of the time I meet those guys I still fight every enemy that's in my way. As far as I care, these rushers can rush if they want to.. but they can also die (only ingame, if course) because if it.
They are as annoying as those "I'm after that 'Finish a strike without dying'"-guys. You know.. those people that hide every time it gets harder so they wont die. But I have to say I love it when people try doing this on moons strike. At the end boss there is one spot (next to the cliff) where people love to hide, because they can shoot everything from there.. but they are almost not to hit by enemy fire. I'm a warlock.. I push them always down the cliff if they hang out there. I don't like glitchers, bugusers, leechers and rushers. I'm pretty sure those guys don't like me either :D
Edit:
Problem is.. my english is pretty bad and I know my initial post is responsible for this.. uhm.. I'd like to call it a shitstorm. It's not easy to describe the situation I was facing there. There was this landing pad were sometimes a few dropships bring in some new troops. That's a place those guys could see. They also could see this ramp (?) that led to the main part of this room and just a few feet from that part.
When I saw them a few of those enemies that came via drop ship walked up that ramp and than just stood there. A few of them moved back to their waypoints (as if you have walked out of their "area". At some point npc's stop following you and walk back to their positions) or engaged me. Ranged enemies only shot at that rock between themselfs and my two party members while one of them just shot back without getting hit. Everything else in that room was attacking just me.. enemies that walked up the other ramp as well.
I'm not a prick.. A lot of times I meet people on earths strike who hide - for exsample - as far away from that walking tank as they can while firing a few rounds here and there. I'm okay with that. Those guys may often be not very usefull, but at least they draw some attention in their direction.. or do some damage. At least those guys try to contribute something to the team instead of.. sacrificing it for their own goals. But that one case I tried to explain was, that two guys glitched in an area they were not supposed to be (how the AI acted proofes that in my opinion) and as a result I was reduced to cannon fodder. All those wizzards and knights in that room were on me.. thank's to those guys funny glitch back than.
I also was worried about getting banned myself. Those guys were part of my strike team, using glitches and I was on their spot as well while trying to figure out what thos two guys were up to. After I saw it I pushed them (so they respawn back ON the map) and jumped back in the fight as well. After this we all finished that strike as it's supposed to and everything was fine.

Well I'll throw my 2 cents in as well. This initial post you made had me thinking you're a complete pr!ck for pushing people out of safety and into harms way when they are supposed to be your teammates. I'd actually be thankful they weren't being downed and needing a revive so that I can handle my business. I continued reading the responses you got and the replies you gave to those posts. You eventually said they aren't able to shoot anything and therefore were leaving you on your own. This paints an entirely different picture. This portrays you as the victim of being thrown to the wolves on your own. You should consider editing your initial post to state that they were of no help being that they couldn't attack 90% of the enemies. The other problem is you've contradicted yourself when you first said they shoot EVERYTHING and can't be hurt (this was your initial complaint). You then went on to say they couldn't shoot anything because of where they were. So either they shot nothing and you were rightfully frustrated by this or they shot everything and stayed alive and you're a douchebag for knocking them out of cover.

So what do you do to people on the Nexus strike who've figured out that they can stand over the Nexus, never get hit by it, and pepper it by themselves til it's dead? You can't push them out to their death if you've already hopped down to the bottom.
-
I think I would just report them via Bungies reporting system and via Xbox Lives reporting system as well. I think this should be sufficient. I'm not the only one who doesn't like cheaters. At some point Microsoft and Bungie will investigate these cases.
-
The behavior you describe engaging in is exactly why Bungie does not have chat in Destiny. So a team mate finds a spot to fight from and you deliberately attempt to make them die, thereby hindering your progress as well as theirs. By hiding and killing the enemy, that player is not hindering your progress. By attempting to push that player out of their spot so that they can die, you are deliberately hindering their progress. In this situation, it is you who is the bad guy. Bungie doesn't have chat because they are concerned about how squeakers, whiners, and jerks will ruin everyone's game. If players are trying to push other players out of their cover spots and get them killed, this is a sign to Bungie that with chat, there would be a lot of trash-talking going on. I understand where you are coming from, but what he is doing is not against the terms and conditions or EULA. What you are doing, is.
-
Nope, it's not. I just made sure I would not get an advantage because of two bugusers on my team. Bugusing is - in fact - against the terms and conditions of Xbox Live. If you feel better after this.. I also reported this two guys when this match was finished. Hidung on a spot where nothing can hit you is bugusing. It's not "taking cover", it's just bugusing. Wait.. I have another exsample. I don't know how this PVP map is called. It's the one were you can see the traveller and which plays near our nameless city. I got three times killed by someone. He was playing as a hunter, somehow jumped over a cliff but survived. You know this spot right besides the cliff where heavy ammo spawns, right? Follow this way to the end. He sit right below this way. I saw on my radar that he has to be there, so I looked for him. He killed me through the floor, three times.. before I gave him a sticky grenade as a present before falling to my death. That's the same thing. He could melee anything that's on the way above him while anything above him couldn't even see or hit him. I'm sure you would consider this as bugusing, right? In this case.. doing the same thing against npc's is bugusing as well.. and that's what I was talking about.
-
I completely agree that using a bug or glitching is against the terms, and when it comes to someone using a bug or a glitch to ruin your game, like the guy who shot you through the floor, I think that needs to be fixed and he needs to be reported for glitching. I totally understand your frustration. These guys hid so you were the only target and ended up dying. It's not right. But if you take a specific action in order to cause your teammate to die on purpose, that is definitely against the Destiny EULA. I apologize if I seemed like I was attacking you, because that wasn't what I was going for, I am just trying to say that when Bungie sees a couple of guys glitching into a wall, they think: "Okay we need to fix that wall." When they see a player pushing others into harms way they think: "If this is the way this guy plays, by deliberately getting team mates killed, then maybe he needs a ban." I just recommend reporting bugs and letting Bungie know how they are ruining the experience rather than trying to take matters into your own hands. The cave farming was a good example of how many felt that cave farmers were getting an unfair advantage. Bungie did nerf the cave eventually, and also stated that if you were sitting in the cave to prevent this kind of farming, you were in violation of the EULA because you were preventing other players from playing the way they want to.
-
I did report those two guys, but honestely I was also worried about getting banned from Xbox Live, because I was in the same strike group as two bugusers.I didn't push them down because I was frustrated or something like that. I don't consider these "Survive one strike"-bounties as something that's hard to accomplish. I always try to combine those bounties with other bounties and after one or two strikes I got it in most cases. What bugged me most were their actions. I'm not okay with people using bugs or cheats in an online game. I'm also not okay with people who let other people die on purpose. They did the same thing to me too, you know? Everything in this strike immediately focussed on my when they hid in their little corner outside the map. That's just a cheap move, at least in my opinion. But I primary pushed them down so they move back on this map. They got the message and did so by the way. My goal was not to ruin their game, it was to communicate to them that I want them to play fair. There was no voice chat where I could say something like "Guys? Could you please help me?" or "Well.. you should move now, otherwise I will report you". There was only one thing I could do. It's pushing them. I wasn't even sure I could push people before I did.. ;) And I only did it twice. There were two people in one strike mission doing this. Normally I'm not trolling people. I'm one of those guys who sits besides afk'lers and gives them some cover until they return instead of.. just moving on and letting them die. I'm not an asshole. Most times I try to help other players, even if you wont believe me this. I'm a teamplayer, not a troll. And if there would have been a way to communicate to them otherwise, so I could let them know that I'm not okay with what they are doing there.. I would have chosen that option. "Bungie did nerf the cave eventually, and also stated that if you were sitting in the cave to prevent this kind of farming, you were in violation of the EULA because you were preventing other players from playing the way they want to." Yeah, that's Bungie. They are free to ban me, if they like to. If they think pushing two bugusing guys over a cliff is worth a ban.. well.. than they should swing their legendary banhammer on me. I'm sure this will send out the right signals. In this case it would mean bugusing is okay, trying to do something against it is not. This would be great. Oh, and don't worry. I didn't thought you were trying to attack me with your postings. My english is not that good so it sometimes happens that I can't communicate things the way I want to. But I got your point. A lot of other people in here insulted me, but I did not consider you as one of them. I'm okay if people have different opinions than I. It's just been my point that I don't like bugusing and that I don't want to be a part of it. Reporting people for using bugs doesn't prevent getting banned for them as well. Once I jumped to their spot to look what they were up to. Right there I used accidentely their bug as well for a few moments. It took some time before I realized what's going on there. I used my melee twice and went back into the game. After a few moments those two guys also were back in the game and played the rest of this games session without using any bugs. I think people need to know that it's not just Bungie that's against bugusing. Other players are against it as well.. at least the ones who like things like fair play. If Bungie wants to ban me for this one strike mission.. alright.. it's their decision. But in the end they prevented me from playing the game the way I wanted as well. Their behaivor forced me to choose otherwise between "dying all the time without getting revived by my teammates" or "using that bug by myself". That's not okay either.
-
Now that you have taken the time, explained it in a way that I understand your point of view a lot better, I have to say I appreciate your position on it and tend to agree with you, especially when you think they might be getting you banned for glitching when you personally don't want to glitch or use bugs. I misunderstood your original post and thought that you were talking about pushing people off of a ledge to their death, not pushing people back into a map from a glitch spot.
-
I thought they have to respawn back in front of this main room if I wouldn't revive them and if they once did that there might be a chance that they wont try using this corner again in this match. I never had the intention to kill them all the time, just because I died because of them. I'm okay with dying.. in games. How they acted was just disrespectfull in my opinion and I saw this whole situation as.. critical. You must know I actually got banned once because of something like that. It was in SWTOR. I was in a group and my party members just glitched to the end boss while I was still trying to figure out where they have gone :D Fortunatelly I recorded this match (for my review video) and send it together with my complaint (got banned without doing anything wrong!) to EA where my ban immediately got removed. Still.. if something like this happens once to you it's something you wont forget. Right now Bungie isn't known for their customer support. I don't think they remove bans fast if they hit the wrong persons.

Edited by Gray Fox: 10/6/2014 3:18:44 PMFunny.. my notification about your post said I would find another text in here.. ;) But yeah.. I'm a true hero. Not the one this game deserves.. but the one it got stuck with until Bungie fixes this whole mess they've created :p

I usually agree with you, but I admittedly used that tatic when my other teammates fell at the same time, stupiditly in places that were hard to get, with bazillion enemies there. At some point, I just didnt want to run there.. revive them and sometimes get killed, but most of time they died just after the revival. At some point I was like.. "Ok... I will wait their respawning here while killing some..." Its hard, cause I always have to go to strike without fireteams and I dont speak to them (they reject or dont invite), because social on destiny is a beautiful crap (lie.. its horrible crap)... And some people JUST DONT GET the little bit sense of teamwork. Really.
-
Not just some people, unfortunately. I always see people hiding or rushing in this game without even thinking about their team mates. They expect others to rush, just because they want to rush themselfs and because they think their wish to do so is more important then the wish of others that just want to have some fun. Others just hide and let their teammates die because they want to get their "survice one strike"-bounty.. while their teammates are after that very same thing. It would be really great of Destiny had some social components, I agree. I wouldn't have pushed that two guys in my case if I could have talked to them. Destiny wishes to be a team based shooter, but more or less disabled communication for random groups. You know how easy these "survice one strike"-bounties would be if everyone could just talk to another? In my case I was not interested in fighing the games menue to get those two guys - that caused my death with their bugusing - in a party, just so I can talk to them. Pushing them over was a lot more easy. I felt they did the same to me before, so.. I'll call it instant karma. Normally I don't do something like this btw ^^ I did it only because both of my mates used that spot. That's just not cool. People really should learn to work with each other instead of only for themselfs all the times in random strike groups..
-
Wow, you're a piece of work. Good luck doing what you do on a Nightfall strike. At level 26 you wouldn't stand a chance.
-
Well.. I've done this beautyfull bounty for Thorne by myself. I have to admit.. a lot of luck was involved in my success there, but I was able to survice 3 waves of enemies in Phogoth's little room and killed that Xyor guy as well. I died a few times, but that's what I love Warlocks for.. they can just get back in the game with their super ;) But.. as I intended to say.. I did moons strike - on epic - on myself and succeeded. I think there are still some chances for me at level 26... :p So... yeah... whatever, buddy.
-
True, being a warlock gives you that ability. On a level 24 strike, players shouldn't really have to use those tactics; but if they're a low level trying to play 24, then they have to do that to survive. I just disagree that trolling people during a boss battle is a very sporting thing to do. If you're level 26, especially Phogoth, you can take on solo if you have to. Nightfall and Heroic Strikes on lvl 28 require some sort of coordinated team hiding.
-
But it does not require to use glitches to survive. If you are at a spot where nothing can kill you, besides evil warlocks, while you still have the ability to kill almost everything that crosses your way.. than we are talking about a glitch. Hiding and taking cover is one thing. I did the same thing with my warlock. When I got in trouble I tried to back out of that area, recover.. and came back in. But not once I've used a glitch in this game. And I was talking about Phoegoth on level 26 with the epic modifier. If you are alont it can happen a lot of times that enemies spawn right on you. Those knights have arc shields, wizzards solar shields. It can happen that you'll die in an instance.. that's why I used that "cheap move". Just so you know.. a lot of people had a lot of trouble with this exotic bounty while bringing two other guardians along. So yeah.. you can try explaining me how bad I am and how cheap my way to play this game is, but still.. I accomplished something a lot of strike teams could not.. and I'm okay with that.
-
You are the worst kind of person.
-
I'm sure all those murders, rapists, slavers etc. worldwide will be happy to hear that. I mean.. one gamer is the worst kind of person in your opinion, that's good for them, isn't it? It means they can't be that bad.. don't you think?
-
In a word? Yes.
-
May I introduce to you? There is one of those persons that surely also has the opinion that EA is the worst company of the U.S., while ignoring all those other companies that actually ruined thousands of lifes over the last few years. You shouldn't be proud of yourself, buddy. I'm sure your parents would be ashamed if they knew what kind of bullshit you have just posted online..

Edited by WolfHawk16: 10/6/2014 2:56:16 PMI have no idea what you just said. Speak english please.
-
Dude, I've never learned english in school and it's not my fault that Bungie wasn't able to give non english speaking people their own forum. But.. you know.. you can't troll me with this. Most of the times my english isn't that bad.. especially for someone who never learned english in school :p
-
I have to chime in on this because of all of the negative comments. If someone has to survive a strike by hiding like a pussy in the corner you need to go shoot the cave some more. I would shove them Into the pits of the Hellmouth too if I ever see it. If anyone feels that my house should be broken into because of my opinion on this issue, I own a few exotic 12 gauges and hand cannons IRL for that very occasion. Peace and love y'all.
