It is in fact -5x faster to farm patrols for strikes and almost 4x slower to farm public events.
Patrols net 0 marks. Pubs net 2-3 marks. An average strike on tiger (6 marks) takes 10 to 15 minutes public events spawn every 35-45 minutes

You can get am event every 10 minutes if you know the pattern they spawn on the cosmodrome

Me neither, I was only throwing it out there. I do a few bounties, the daily, then switch off these days. All I have left to do is the raid, I'll get that done once I've found a good group that I enjoy playing with though. Until then, I'll just keep doing what I'm doing. Or go to the pub.

Edited by CaptainChortles: 10/5/2014 11:53:46 PMI cap my Vanguard Marks just by doing the Weekly 28, Nightfall, Heroic Story 28 and the Public Events I find doing bounties. 25 reputation for a 15 minute Strike is nothing. A single kill the target patrol mission is worth 20 and takes 3-4 minutes depending on how far away the target is. You can get more rep in that time doing the 10 rep patrol missions. EDIT: Also, the loot roll odds at the end aren't THAT bad. So there are pros and cons to skipping the mobs. If someone wants to go fast, I'll go fast. Who cares. xD

u forgot nightfall triples patrol rep instead of 10, 31 kill the target isn't extra same with crucible not as much with bounties

wrong and wrong patrol is for vanguard rep takes 60 sec 10 rep strike 10-15 min 14 rep marks all pub events are offset you can do at least 8 in an hour and gold tier all of them 8*4= 32 6*4=24 gold tier gets u 4 dingus

Tiger playlist is 25 rep 6 marks. Patrol is 10-25 rep 0 marks. Public events happen every 35-45 minutes not to mention load time per zone not to mention you can only get payouts once per zone per day

no dude you get an extra package once per day I did skywatch 5 times in one day and got 20 marks total no other PB or anything
