Farming Methods.
Hi guys, thought I'd put together a post where we can share farming methods. Most of what I use comes from YouTuber MorninAfterKill, he's not to everyones' taste but I find him entertaining and informative. Below are some links, but be warned, he swears [b]A LOT[/b].

4 RepliesFor those of you who cry Cheater, farming is not a cheat it is part of the game, using an area that gives an unfair advantage (like the loot cave) could be considered exploiting, but it is usually fixed when it comes to light. I am sure Bungie watches these UBoob videos and decides if an area needs adjustment. Exploiting in my opinion would be using an outside of Destiny program or gear that changes the established dynamics of the game and gives an unfair advantage to the user. Face the facts, gamers are going to find methods within the game to run missions faster and kill bosses easier and gather more loot. If the dev team learns of it they may or may not decide to adjust it. But if Bungie did not want us farming then they would not have Helium, Spin, Relics, etc as a necessary part of the game. As another poster said, farming while running Bounties and side missions is a part of the game and something to do when you don't have a team or time for a strike, daily, weekly, etc. So grab a Bounty, Pick up a flashing little side mission, equip a glimmer consumable, load up the guns you need to level up, and take part in the game. And when you have 95 of 100 kill without die done on a bounty and an event drops on your head you make the call, me I jump in with guns blazing.

When you discover a good means of farming, only share it with your friends and/ or keep it as an "FYI" to yourself...otherwise, it gets nerfed. I have become very good at chest farming all planets. As for farming in general? The best is just to play normal, and higher difficulty stuff. Farming drops in this game has pretty much been nerfed to the point where, the only feasible way to get a good drop, is by completing raids/ night strikes. For instance, I have played every single day since they patched their loot system, and I have yet to get an actual purple "drop." I have been awarded only 4 purples between leveling up my rep with the cryptarch, vanguard and Dead Orbit...but that's about it...and 3 of those were items for other classes; a Titan helmet, Titan chest armor and Hunter's cloak... lol [url][/url]

1 ReplyThank you. Though I'm about to just put this game to the side. You can farm all this garbage, but in the end you find yourself asking why? What's the point? One more run through on a Strike? Or Heroic? PVP? Patrol a map that's about as explorable as a Fable Map? Strut around a silent Tower? Upgrade armor you'll just replace if you're lucky enough to find an upgrade? Oh well. OP thank you for the links. And the fact this post will infuriate the Socialists who want to tell you how to play the game. I love watching them commie it up.

3 RepliesHow can people think that these are cheating methods? The problem with Destiny is the mechanics are SO OBVIOUS it almost looks like it's the very intention of the game to be played in this way. Every little thing can be exploited and taken apart. Every mission has safespots, pathing exploits etc. People are soloing strikes. Someone even soloed a raid boss from what I read. It's like a leaky bucket. Full of holes.

PSA: If you run into someone else farming the same route as you, just join their run(you can both collect isms from the same chests). instead of running the route differently, just stick together and help fend off enemies quicker!
