Server Limbo

I am stuck in server limbo with my characters. I sign in to my account and connect to destiny and I am sent to a server where there are no other players and my ship does not show up. I can explore and do missions but I cannot join other players in the game. This issue showed up when my counsel was shut off in the middle of the raid Vault of Glass. Now my guardians are lost in a plain of oblivion. What can I do to return to the realm of multi player, or get back to a server with other players? Can my guardian be redeemed? Will unistalling my game erase my character progress?

  • This is usually a NAT issue. Have you gone through and made sure to set your NAT to open? We have some documentation available on this here- http://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/11931

  • So I found if a new character is created on a different profile, it will resolve the issue on the problematic profile.

  • These are good questions it has happened to a buddy of mine aswell. Pretty much exactly the same story.

    • I also have this problem on XBOX One. I've found if I "quit" the game instead of just letting it sign me out and back in it will fix the problem MOST of the time.
