I've asked this before but never got a reply, and I'm surprised because I think with all the hunters someone would have noticed this.
If you hover over certain perks in the tech tree, they show and increase in armor / recovery / agility. I'm not talking about the perks that say 'focus on attribute x'. I'm talking about perks which ought to have nothing to do with attributes. For example in the column for the throwing knife, the first upgrade increases the armor stat. In the final column, the second one (below chain of woe) also increases an attribute (forgot which).
Is this intentional or not? Do the increases in attributes actually work for these perks? Because they seem to have nothing to do with attributes to begin with.
-
Those increases are intentional to make the perks more attractive to choose by adding a small attribute boost. They are not bugged.

@ jillion, what is the 'it' you're referring to? I'm fairly sure circle of life (the knife perk) raises armor. But anyways, the point is, are these actually intended and do they work? The perk descriptions are totally unrelated to their effect.
-
i think you mean it raises agility because i see ones that raise agility not armor
-
@ salos, are you sure? Why wouldn't they be in the description? And do other classes have such a thing?
-
@ laxxmann, please tell me how you know this? Why would a perk which gives longer golden gun duration raise armor? Why would increased range on the GG give more recovery? And to my knowledge other classes don't have such a thing going on. That clearly suggests a bug.
-
Yes they do change the stats. Think of it rather that they don't raise stats, but to pick a certain ability takes away from your base stats without that ability.
-
Speeder can you please provide an example?
-

-
Seriously no one? No one on this board talks about game mechanics.

-
I'm asking if that increase the attribute bars are actually real, that is if they actually have an affect
-
Over the horizion increase recovery. And the DoT that you can have with trowing knife doesn't always apply to the target! Where is the bug tracker in this maze!

I would assume it works because i have it on my other classes as well
