"Matchmaking is for people wanting to play the strike".
I dont think I recall one single strike where the goal is to annihilate an opposing army.
They all have as their stated goal to kill the monster at the end.
So that is how I play the strike, get to the target as fast as possible and take it out.
IMHO if anyone is to blame it is those who stick around to mess with irellevant grunts while their mates attack the real target.
What do you think gives the best rewards, 4 fast strikes or 2 slow with every grunt killed?

"IMHO if anyone is to blame it is those who stick around to mess with irellevant grunts while their mates attack the real target." Or Bungie for using leashing on enemies in an instanced dungeon. There is no need for this to even be in the game outside of public patrol areas and it's incredibly amateurish in a 2014 game.

This. Absolutely this.

i disagree as some need too kill certain grunts to complete some bounties. to kill two birds with the same stone there by being more efficient.
