i honestly think if your trying to speed through a strike bc you need to, you should do it by yourself. Matchmaking is for matching players to play a given strike and leaving enemies behind for your teammates is straight up whack no matter which way you look at it. you save no time bc you give enemies more of a chance to scatter so you have to chase them all down not to mention everyone should know bad guys die faster when more than one person shoots at them. maybe you cut off twenty seconds but in the longrun if the whole fireteam isnt skipping parts, it ends up taking longer. every single tiger strike ive played has had one scrub run ahead and its annoying. im saying it now, in two weeks time the players that run ahead will not be revived by the players actually killing the enemies. i expect runners to not revive the slow and steady; and i foresee much dancing upon the ghosts of the dead guardians. why should i have to skip out on possible engrams because some egohead thinks hes "too good for killing these bad guys" i shouldnt and i wont. to put it in a nutshell: why play coop if your going to play apathetically toward your fellow teammates? its simply the obligation of the speeders to play strikes by themselves.
every single tiger strike ive played has had one scrub run ahead and its annoying. im saying it now, in two weeks time the players that run ahead will not be revived by the players actually killing the enemies.
You seem to forget that in the matchmade strikes players can res in 30 seconds so long as someone else is alive in the fireteam so your "plan" to not res them will backfire unless you're willing to be a dick and die just to inconvenience the ENTIRE team. Meanwhile, they'll simply wait out the timer, res, come back and STILL be ahead of you.
why should i have to skip out on possible engrams because some egohead thinks hes "too good for killing these bad guys" i shouldnt and i wont.
You can spend as much time killing low level mobs for potential engrams all you want. There's a mode for that, it's called Patrol. Play patrol if you want to engram farm mindlessly. If you join a Strike, I assume you're there to tackle a boss, not kill mobs you can farm for hours on end solo. I will agree with you that being able to join the strikes solo would be a welcome addition, mostly because I'm tired of carrying people in Vanguard Tiger strikes. I don't know if they're killing all the crap trash mobs but in almost every Vanguard Tiger strike I've done in the last 3 days there's always been one person sitting at the start for the majority of the strike and only showing up when we're at the end boss.

Your A.D.D. called it says take your meds and stay focused on the task. (The strike) if you get distracted easy you might want to find something else to do like jingle keys in front of your face or have a friend use a laser pointer to keep you busy. Don't join a matchmaking session to dick around not doing the strike I'll report your ass for wasting my time which I do all the time. Either lead follow or get out of the way.

  • Tell me how to play strikes solo since I always get matched with other players.

  • So you want us to play strikes solo...on a playlist that is matchmaking only? Some of us "speed runners" you hate are just skipping the trash mobs. It's really no big loss. If you want to engram farm, get into the patrols. Bad Juju requires 25 strikes. The part of the bounty after that requires Xur, so you have to get them done fast or wait until next week. If you take 20 minutes per strike like you want it adds up fast. Try playing the same strike 5 times in a row, in the same hour, and tell me you won't speed run the next one.

  • It Would be safe to assume if your matched up all over lvl 20's doing Devils Lair for a "complete strike without dieing " bounty why worry about the fodder?

  • Strikes are not the place to be killing hordes for the hope of engrams, that is what the patrol mode is for.

  • Leave the open world kills for people doing patrol, when you get to the strike no respawning bit kill everything.

  • We don't need to we choose to im trying to complete a bounty not sit still and kill weak enemies. Sure I could kill them all but if I'm trying to do a bounty quickly then I don't care. I will however admit I only do a speed run on Devils lair I do all the other ones slowly but Devils lair everything is too weak to bother with so why bother. If you wanna kill them all go for it let everyone else do there speed run. I'll also admit it's a dick move to players who don't speed run but oh well everyone plays there way it's bad when it affects others but it's unavoidable
