Does anyone have any tips for doing this step in Thorn quest line? I just find it ridiculous how hard it is to do this when everyone is comfortable running around in their primaries while I'm forced to use crappy Void Fusion Rifle, or Heavy weapon which I never have ammo for. And I also want to mention that I'm not good at multiplayer so yeah...
How are people completing this quest? Or should I just abandon since I'm reading that Thorn is not very good anyways...

Rumble with your friends. You should be able to complete that part of the bounty in a couple matches.

Void shotgun, void heavy (Corrective Measure c: , Word of Crota/Atheon's Epilogue as a primary IF you have either (can imagine you have WoC before this, but hey you never know...). If you have a void class, use its grenades and super (not as a titan though for super kills). If you prefer sniping, use a void sniper. Make all engagements on your terms and don't be afraid to be a bitch.

I just play sniper rifle in clash and void granades, dont quit keep trying

Word of crota or atheons gun from the raid Void subclass if you have one Other void weapons

Edited by Endgame77: 1/28/2015 6:00:17 PMI had never pvp'd before this past saturday, not even one round. It took me 10 games (2-3 hours) to get 500 points with a void fusion rifle. Fusion rifles are ridiculously powerful in pvp. It wasn't that bad. Btw, Thorn is the most fun I have had with a gun in this game. It looks incredibly cool, sounds cool, and shoots friggen daggers, lol.

Guard a control point. Just be patient. Don't over reach your FR and heavy. Corrective measure is the shit. Use your primary when moving and if your a lock use nova every chance you get.

Dude thorn is one of the best hand cannons, don't quit. It's worth it trust me. Use Atheon's Epilogue, void Secondary and truth or corrective measure for heavy.

I used my Titan's magnetic grenades and a crappy void fusion rifle. Was a bit grindy, but not bad. If I was a warlock, would've gone much faster.

My friend just did this in 2 hours by using void shotgun and Defender Titan. I've also done it 2 weeks after game's release. Basicaly just use void powers if possible, void secondary and heavy weapon. Atheon's Epilogue helps also.

Took me 2 days to get a strategy that worked, and I eventually finished it.

I used atheons epilogue... Sucked at it...But. it will seem slow at first but then it will pick up

Play with friends, play defensively (deaths cost you), and stick to it! This is the most challenging exotic weapon bounty, but once you've gotten the Thorn, you'll be glad you persevered! Good luck Guardian!

Primaries: Atheon's Epilogue or Word of Crota Special: any Void your comfortable with Heavy : Any Void Heavy Machine gun with good stability...don't use a rocket launcher Reason being you can't go on a 5-10 or 10-20 killstreak while only holding 3 or 4 rockets at a time

Forget the atheons epilogue, it's garbage. Get a void sniper/heavy, and word of crota if you can swing CE on hard. And my buddy who is horrible at crucible just had 2 friends join him in rumble and let him get free void kills.

Did it in a few hours with a void fusion rifle. you just suck at the crucible

I used a void heavy machine gun. Got the bounty done in roughly 5 games. But that was when Bastion was part of the control game type. Bastion has three heavy spawns. So I was almost guaranteed to get more heavy from kills after it spawned.
