...that probably wouldn't require a super huge amount of effort. Keep in mind these are just things I'd enjoy that might not be to everyone's, or even anyone else's, tastes, so I'm just throwing them out for mulling over or complely ignoring. 1. Capture The Flag. No, seriously, it's capture the flag. Two teams, one flag per team, each team battles back and forth trying to protect their own flag while stealing the other team's. Some code for picking up and dropping the flag, two points of opposite sides of existing arenas, and the fun makes itself. The different roles and maneuverability of the classes would each play a role, be it Warlocks as jetpacking flag runners, Titans holding back pursuers with heavy firepower, and Hunters being annoying as normal. I've loved this game mode since I played Tribes, and I'd like to see it make a comeback. 2. Sparrow Races. This requires a bit more effort than a basic PVP gamemode to implement and maybe doesn't make too much sense in universe, but riding my swoop bike feels so damned good I just want to do it even more. Ideally, just add in checkpoints, a visual overlay to show the racecourse around the open areas like the Cosmodrome and Mars, and a mechanic where boost depletes in use and recharges while driving at normal speed. 3. Space combat with our loading screen ships, which is likely my most demanding wish. Take a big open arena with various asteroids and stations, apply the movement controls of the Sparrows except with up and down on the left thumbstick controlling our position on the Y axis, throw in a bunch of Fallen or Vex or other Guardian ships, and let us shoot away. 4. The ability to mute or unmute non-Fireteam voicechat of our own choice. I'm almost thirty, I'm capable of choosing if I want to listen to twelve year olds insulting my racial heritage, implying I fornicate with a wide variety of barnyard animals/family members, and insinuating that I might be a fascist from an alternate dimension version of 1942 where everyone is a dinosaur or not, and taking responsibility for myself regardless of the outcome. 5. A picture of Peter Dinklage playing Destiny. And that's pretty much it, for now.
