It's frivolous disposable income. There is no poor take on spending it. If I want to commission someone to make a life sized magical rainbow unicorn Pegasus with it, it's my prerogative. Entertainment products in general are a poor take on spending money. I could use it to buy promising stocks and invest in promising companies to further my personal wealth. Objectively it's all a waste of money. Subjectively I don't give a damn and I'll be playing games until the day they pry my controller from my cold dead hands.
