I've put an ungodly amount of hours into this game since release. Definitely have gotten my $60 worth of entertainment. Do I wish there was more content? Of course I do. They are doing weekly patches and events in the meantime between expansions which hopefully contain a while boatload of new content. Demanding free stuff from something that has clearly entertained you for many hours in the past month just makes you look like a spoiled child. Level a new character, do the raid or play some pvp. There are plenty of things to do in this game. We all want more endgame content. It will come. This is a grandiose project with a 10 year plan. More content will be coming. Some of it will be smaller scale and free patches and events I'm sure. Most of it will come in the form of large DLC expansions.

  • Weekly updates have mostly been fixing problems that shouldn't have been in the game in the first place and balancing issues. That is expected of every single game and in no way should count as credit as new content. If the Queen's wrath is any indication of what we can expect from special events in the future then I am very disappointed. There was no real new content released in this event. Just some boring grindy bounties to gain rep with a vendor that sells nothing of note or interest and the opportunity to play some if the same missions we have dozens of times, dozens of more times with a modifier to make it a wee bit more difficult for some easy purple gear that most people already had better. Plus the fact that they had to patch the game after two days to make it so that dismantling that useless gear no longer gives you shards shows great lack of foresight. How do you expect to be surprised by the fact that people are dismantling the gear for shards when the entire content of the special event is grind for meh quality legendary gear over the course of three weeks? In the course of getting rep 3 with the awoken you would have earned dozens of kill missions for legendaries. That's ridiculous. As it is, I effectively ignored the special event after day one and every time I log on and it reminds me of the "limited time special event" I just laugh. I'm half way through my third character and can't bring myself to continue despite the fact she has 3 legendaries waiting for her at level 20 along with good guns. I literally dread trudging through the rest of the story again as I've done every mission several times on my other characters and the thought of doing it again just so I can then do them AGAIN with slightly higher difficulty is sickening to my stomach. There is NOT enough endgame content and what is there is too difficult to get a group together. I had to spend 2 hours last night on Destinylfg.net looking for 2 more fireteam members so my group could do vog. I had to go to a third party website just to semi-efficiently find other players to play with in a SOCIAL based game! They done -blam!-ed it up and a lot of the community has lost faith. News flash, if the community loses interest and they lose sales to the excessive availability of used copies available (many gamestops have stopped taking them due to a surplus) and no one willing to buy future dlc because the content we've already seen is crap then they'll pull the plug on the project and your 10 year project franchise died after 6 months. Offering up the first dlc for free and having legitimately good and worthwhile content will appease the community, show us they acknowledge their mistake, are willing to make it up to their consumers and actually care about the future of their own creation. Sure, they'll lose out on whatever money they could have made off the first dlc, but the next one's would have significantly increased sales.
