Sorry but I can see this as the only way for Bungie to save this game. We have all paid for what most have come to think of as a Beta of what we thought and were promised. We are then meant to sit around and wait for a Dlc which cost about he same as the game itself. That's meant to make people happy? Now I don't care if you are a Ps fan boy or and Xbox gamer (joke), none of us deserve to have to fork out more money for a full game. So due to this I think we should get a free DLC from Bungie with an apology for selling us a Beta not the full game. This free DLC/patch should redo the story, making it worthy of the people that brought us Halo. Proper cut scenes that tell a true story, maybe even a twist in there. The Awoken queen recognising your race and responding to you appropriately, not just calling you "it". None of that "I'll explain later" rubbish, a real story that gets to your soul. Bungie owe it to themselves to grip us with a real first episode, to a game that is meant to be around for 10 years.
If you agree please comment so Bungie/Activison might take notice.
Just to make this clear, I am asking for the story to be fixed. Not multi player maps, guns or anything that shouldn't be in the game we all bought. The story that was cut and we all saw was in the game before the cuts. That can only come as a free DLC or patch, if that's a better word for people. However it has to fix the nonsensical story, that is not what is advertised on the back of the case. Please read the case, "rich cinematic story telling". That is what we thought we had bought, that is what we should have. Hope that makes things clear for some that think anyone that agrees wants some kind of hand out. As we don't, we just want what we paid for. A story driven game, not a watered down version of what was touted.
I do have theory why the story is so bad and nondescript. My theory is that it was written by deej. You know the guy that gives nondescript answers to every question? That's all I can think of as to why the story is so bad, it's deej's fault. As it can't be Bungie can it? They brought us the original Halo and the emotional Halo Reach, remember the end of that? Truly an amazing ending, Bungie did that. They couldn't of written this Destiny tripe. Seriously watch this....

This is more gripping than the whole of destiny. So basically Bungie advertised a roast dinner with all the trimmings and gave us a pot noodle instead.

This links above and below strongly support all I have been saying, please read or you can find it on another feedback page.

Deej do you care to comment?
Also this from one of the leads of Bungie

I personally love the part where he talks about Destiny not being a MMO, it's more of story driven.
Edit - changed title as even though I explain what I was asking for, some seem to be confused.

Bought the limited edition and got the season pass for free basically so I don't feel too cheated, but I agree with what everyone is saying on how they majorly cut up the story that was originally supposed to be completed. Signed

Edited by Nterl0k: 10/13/2014 6:54:11 PMCause this worked so well for the Mass Defect series... Face it, they trolled us and we'll be paying for any "extra" story via DLC... I know they already tricked my wallet into it via yet another "season pass". I could be on board with this blatant tomfoolery if the game didn't cost $60 + about $60 for the rest of the game via DLC. Not sure why companies can't offer products like Skyrim or Borderlands. Maybe a lil buggy game play, sure that's fine, but you get 100+ hours of game play and each DLC packs on about 20~30 extra. All I can say is praise ClapTrap that the Pre-Sequel comes out tomorrow and I can start enjoying loot again.

Wouldn't this petition get signed even if the game had a better story? Why would someone decide not to sign a free dlc petition?

Signed (but personally I still love the game itself, but I have to agree it isn't a complete game. The story is so short it's and non linear that there isn't even a plot set up, essentially all you have is a setting, protagonist and antagonist. That's it. So much is missing

Signed. The "rich cinematic storytelling" at the back of the box is nowhere to be found at the moment.

Signed. This franchise is suppose to last 10 years. Umm well i wish bungie the best of luck to achieve this.. After 1 month, there is nothing interesting left to keep me coming back. Atm i'm just trying to max upgrade my armor set and weapons by farming ascendant materials. But when i think about it, doing this is pointless. I mean, what am i suppose to do with my badass gear? Iron banner is broken and does not play as promised and i'm fed up going through the same story missions and strikes again and again. Also every time i pick up my controller i have the feeling that this game could have been way better. It just feels half baked! I feel stupid for believeing their marketing bs and preordering the digital version. For exemple, competive pvp and mmo but no voice communication, lobby or custom matchmaking? C'mon bungie, is this a joke?! Dont get me wrong, i've spent a few memorable and fun moments with my friends but it's just not enough for me to come back. This saddens me because i do love the art and design, the way guns feels, the way crucible macthes play etc but the numerous flaws keep holding me from fully enjoying it. I really hope that bungie will listen to its community for future installments of destiny because as it is, things look really bad and i dont think people will continue to jump in blindly.. at least, i will not next time.

Signed. It's not going to do any good though. They made a deal with the devil. Their contract is legally binding. Unlike my fading loyalty.

Alright but you gotta remember its not like these guys have infinite space to add all this shit.

Edited by Col Yates: 10/14/2014 6:31:03 AMBungee had a great game, Activision came in and said "you want our funding, you have to cut your game into 10 pieces and sell it for $60 a piece". "Well, I guess" said Bungie. So now instead of paying $60 to play this promising RPG, you have to pay $600 for the same content. Well, it's not gunna happen, your not getting $600+DLC from me for a game that as of now isn't worth the $60. Signed.

I agree. If you ever played Mass Effect 3's multiplayer, it was lacking at first. Then guess what? They released TONS of guns, characters, and maps all for free because it was subpar at first. This is what Destiny needs to do for the first couple of expansions
