Obviously you can't exactly tell when you're asleep, but you get the idea.
Although I'm not an insomniac, I've noticed it takes me far longer to fall asleep than others. I could lay in bed for 1-3 hours, perfectly settled and comfortable before I assumedly lose consciousness and wake up in the morning, while for my parents and friends it can take as little as 1/2 an hour before they're out cold. (As for my brother, he can sleep just about anywhere within 10 minutes).
So, just a general guess for you all, how long does it take for you to fall asleep once you're in bed?

Bump, because old posts with no replies make me sad.

Between an hour to two hours mostly, some days it takes forever though.
-
Once I'm tired enough I usually fall asleep about the moment I get in bed. I don't even remember getting in bed a lot of times cause I'm so exhausted from work
-
Generally 1-2 hours before I fall asleep. Some nights I go insomniac mode and am still up at three in the morning.

I lay in bed for two or three hours before I finally get to sleep. My parents both worked shift work, so my sleep schedule has always been messy. I usually run off four to five hours of sleep.
