Okay, I know that the Bad Juju is supposed to have a small clip to balance out the eventual ability to reload automatically after each kill. I have since achieved this ability with the Bad Juju, but I am still finding that 15 bullets (5 burst shots) is only practical for getting PvE kills, and consistently leaves me THIS close to killing my opponents in The Crucible nearly every time.
So, I would like to propose a slight buff that would not just make the gun more viable, but also make it really, really cool: increase the clip size to 18, but have the ammo reader on the gun display the ammo count as "666" (6+6+6=18, get it?). It could countdown in a number of unorthodox (exotic?) ways.
Ideally, I think the ammo counter should only change to "666" once the upgrade "String of Curses" is activated. Furthermore, I also think the glowing green stuff on the end of the gun should only appear once said upgrade is activated as well. That way, the glowing green stuff becomes an indicator to the owner that his gun is possessed by some dark magic Toland the Shattered had been delving into, AND the green glowy stuff also serves as a subtle warning to the owner's opponents that their gun doesn't always need to reload.
I really think that giving you just one more shot with the Bad Juju would make a world of difference when trying to use this gun in The Crucible, while also still requiring its user to be as accurate as possible when using it. And, I really think it would be cool to have the ammo counter read "666," not just because it would make use of all three digits on the counter, but also because the vague nod to the devil/dark arts would be a REALLY neat way to further tie this gun into Toland the Shattered's lore. I mean, it would be like Toland the Shattered somehow actually got his gun possessed by some dark force! I'm sure this would offend someone, but clearly they are the type of person to take fiction too seriously.
Please let me know what you think!

I just got this gun the other day, and am tremendously disappointed. I've yet to use it in PvP but now i'm hesitant to by what you've said as I'm bad enough at it haha. I agree 100% with every aspect of your suggestions, THAT is what an exotic gun is supposed to do: be.... exotic! One thing though, because it fires in bursts of three, do you think they would make the ammo counter go down like: 666 *burst shot* 663 *burst shot* 660 *burst shot* 630 *burst shot* 600 etc. etc.? If so, that maay be a bit confusing at first, but exotic weapons are supposed to be quirky and awesome. Hope Bungie sees this!

Please add some poison or lingering acid effect to this weapon! heh

Clip size is fine, they need to increase impact quite a bit should take a clip and a half to kill a yellow while my high fixer three shots it
-
- bigger clip (from 15 to 21) - slightly higher impact - trigger the perk (string of curses) on precision hit (not kill) - and BRING BACK THE "VOID" DMG
-
if they put a 666 counter on it, that would be cool. it should count down like this. first 3 shots drop the counter to 555, second 444 ect. that way it would be an indication on how many rounds of fire you have left and not look confusing.

Just got the gun a couple days ago. I know I'm a little slow at this but I really agree with your ideas. I mean, the gun looks like an exotic gun with the green glow coming out from the skull and all, but it just doesn't feel like one. Exotics are supposed to feel powered, not over-powered by a lot or by any means. Just a little of a impact and clip size increase would be better and would ensure players who use it aren't short of dying everytime they kill someone in pvp. But then again, this is all only my opinion on it.

Illuminati confirmed!

This gun needs a serious make over. I have it maxed and I have a legendary that just kills it in every aspect and its not even maxed out. its a shame i see the potential in it. Just feels like a rare and not a exotic. I want to see a 21 to 24 clip with hell of a lot more impact and that damage needs to be on exotic level not rare.

I say 21 or 24 is better for clip size. Sometimes it takes more to kill a guardian than 6 bursts.

Edited by ZetaScorpii: 10/5/2014 6:02:51 PMMy rare pulse rifle puts bad juju to shame :(. It's a pretty gun to look at, but pretty useless in real fights. I am extremely disappointed in this gun and all the grinding it took to acquire it. I heard rumors that it's getting a buff though, so a small glimmer of hope remains......

Eh sounds good but I dobt have it

What if 24 rd. clip and each kill gives 15 rounds into the clip to a max of 24? Also around a 1.3x impact buff would be pretty balanced IMO. Being able to enable/disable the full auto would be pretty great too. >bigger clip. >string of curses doesn't become OP. >slightly improved impact makes it viable for use in the crucible. >doesn't go full bullet-hose.
-
IMHO Bungie will need to drastically change this gun in order for it to ever come out of most players vault. Ie: 30 round clip and double the impact.
-
Hmmm. Dunno about the ammo read out change, despite how interesting it is, I can't really see myself supporting changes for the sake of changes. The old "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mentality I suppose. That said buffs incoming to Bad Juju may increase clip size, but I think the buff could be something far more exotic. Something crazy like if you have String Of Curses unlocked, and you've spent the magazine, it will instantly reload but deal damage to you. As an added kicker, if this damage kills you it also kills your last damaged target from within the last 5 seconds, no matter what amount of health they have...and maybe it could display 666 on the ammo read out momentarily when this occurs just for the sake of being inclusive of your idea =P Suffice it to say mechanical changes can be very interesting. Just depends on how creative the devs want to be or are permitted to be within their development constraints.

Threw the damn thing in my vault! The 15 bullet magazine is annoying as hell!

There is already going to be a buff for the gun. It may not involve clip size, but you'll get more bang for your buck. So, hopefully the clip size will feel less relevant due to the improved performance.
