I Don't Want To Be One Of "THOSE" Guys..................
Ok to start off I would like to say just like the title says I DON'T want to be one of "THOSE" guys who complain about Destiny but, I am having problems with the connecting. I've tried everything the forms suggest, I've tried static IP, Port Forwarding, Taking down my firewall on my PS3, changing the NAT type to 1, configuring my router, modem and PS3 and I still get error codes ranging from bee, lion, and centipede to elderberry, boar, and fly, and then some. the longest I've been able to play at one time is 15-20 minutes. This morning I played for 45 minutes and got booted with bee, lion, and fly error codes somewhere between 15-20 times within that 45 minute time period. Now I'm not saying that I hate the game or that it needs to go back to bungie or anything like that. In fact I've been waiting ever so patiently for the games release ever since I first heard rumors about the games development 2 or so years ago. I even reserved my hard copy of the game as soon as I could (some time around Black Friday of 2013) and even kept up with the development of the game on the app and bungie.net. I watched all the YouTube videos of the game. I lived and breathed the game patiently awaiting the beta release. I told everyone I know about Destiny saying things like, "Check out this video!" and "This game will be the best game ever!". My wife and friends were so tired of me talking about it. Then the beta came out. I set it to download and went to work and when I got home I installed it and finally got to experience the greatness I had waited so long for. "Please excuss our dust" it was the first thing I saw when I stared it up. The music of the start screen sent shivers down my spine as I press the X button as the promt states to start the game. I create my first character and start the game and it was everthing I hoped it to be, NO it was more unbelievable, more beautiful, more amazing and more then anything that I expected it to be. To me it was a masterpiece among games. Then the beta ended, I felt lost empty and wanting more. It was like a drug and I was cut off, but once I cleared my head and realized that there was more to play then what I experienced in the beta I started to get excited again like hearing about it for the first time. When it was time to finally get my copy picked up I wasted no time at all and got it as soon as I could and put it in to play. Alas that is when the trouble started and was getting the error codes from the day I put it in to this very day. Its so frustrating to not be able to experience the game to its fullest like I experienced in the beta. I don't want to start the crucible or strike missions due to fear of being booted and I have yet to leave Old Russia due to the extra slow level ups (due to error code). Its been almost a month since I've had the game and I got two characters who are still at level 6 while all my friends and co-workers surpass me in every manner, way, or form imaginable. I just want to play the game without getting booted every 10-15 minutes, to be able to experience the game I thought it would be. I want, for me, to have the game live up the the hype that I have heard and seen everywhere. I want to experience Venus, Mars, and beyond. I want to explore everything from the VoG to the unknown and everything inbetween. I want to win and lose in PvP. I want exotic gear and legendary wepons. I want to know what it means to be a TRUE Guardian.
