Ok, so me and a friend decided to duo the weekly heroic strike on 28 and do the Nightfall strike after. We finished the weekly heroic, then went to do Nightfall. We had done last week's as well. This week he got a legendary fusion rifle and I got: a legendary heavy weapon engram. A legendary. Heavy weapon. Engram. ENGRAM. For completing the hardest strike there is in the game(VoG is a raid, not a strike). I got something I drop in open-world for killing level 6-9 mobs. Last week my friend got a legendary auto rifle and I got 8 strange coins. Strange coins are ok, I guess, can buy exotics with them, and 8 is quite the amount, too. And after we finished it last week we did it again to help someone out. That person got an exotic scout rifle(MIDA Multi-Tool, I believe?). What is the motivation I have to do Nightfall again with this kind of drop, Bungie? I thought you said players will be rewarded nicely for completing Nightfall strikes. All I see is crap I can just get from the Vanguard or the rep merchants, or even just from killing random low-level monsters. All the effort of killing that boss for... what exactly? It just ruins the purpose. As if the loot system wasn't bad enough and the worst players in Crucible get legendary engrams and exotic weapons, and the top player gets left with basically nothing. I almost feel like I get punished for being MVP 90% of the time. I just don't know why I should play this game anymore if being a good player helps with nothing at all. I played other MMO's because skilled players were rewarded well. In this game it's just about who spammed loot cave more before the patch or who just gets lucky as sh*t in Crucible and gets an exotic. Just address this ASAP please. I'm sure I speak on behalf of most players in the higher-tiers of Destiny when I say this. EDIT: Okay, having 2 characters that are able to do Nightfall does help... Got Ascendant Shards after soloing this week's Nightfall hunter, but I got Patience and Time on my warlock. Doesn't mean the loot system is any better with 2 characters, I could've still gotten Shards or Strange Coins, but yeah...
