Hi community,
I am wondering if it is me lacking the ability to make it work or if the game doe snot support it.
Sinc ethis is a FPS voice comms is vital for the best playing experiance.
My headset works fine with other games (like Dust514).
So the assignment o my PS3 is fine i guess.
But how do i get voice coms to work with destiny?
All i hear is static/cracklings.
If the anwser to my question is "not supported by destiny" thats fione.
at least its an anwser.
The follow up would be however, how to work around it?
thanks

and now i found this audio guide: http://www.bungie.net/7_Audio-/en/Help/Article/11933 BUT it does NOT say that it only works within a fireteam. Will play around with it tonight i guess.

Edited by achwassolls: 9/30/2014 12:59:19 PMyep, Bungie did a VERY bad Job on the Chat on PS3. often it takes up to 2 strikes and 4 orbits until i can hear both of my Team mates. when someone joins in the middle of a strike, we can't communicate in 95% of all cases. Only place where it works almost every time is in the Tower

I can't imagine why your headset would work fine on the PS3 with other games then Destiny. Only thing I can think of, but that would not explain why you do hear static/cracklings, is perhaps missing out on port forwarding? Destiny has, iirc, two port ranges and one static port for the game. I have my PS4 in a DMZ and next to all PlayStation Network ports forwared to to the PS4, I also added the Destiny ports. There is a help page on the help.bungie.net site about it. It's a long shot, but might have something to do with it. Also, out of curiousity, what is your NAT Type? Should be 2 if you use a router, which most likely you are.

Step 1: Get friends Step 2: Get into fireteam with said Friends Step 3: talk to said friends

There is no public voice chat by default. You have to invite someone into you fireteam first to be able to voice-chat with them. Later, they're going to patch it so you can 'opt-in' to voice chat in matchmake activities like Crucible and Strike.

My mic works fine for this game, so does all of my friends. We're on PS3.
