For the last two days I keep getting 'Cattle' error on my PS4 just after the 'Press X to play' screen - any suggestions ??
EDIT:
Everything was fine till yesterday - no changes in any of the setup (same router, same config, etc.)
EDIT2:
I have a pretty decent connection - PS states my download is about 45-50 Mb and my upload is about 4-6Mb.
EDIT3:
I just found out that I have different stats on bungie.net and on mobile (android) app - maybe some database is corrupted (data consistency issue) and that might be the reason why I am unable to log into the game.
EDIT4:
After 7/10 update the error code changed from CATTLE to ZEBRA - same situation, as I cannot get pass the log in screen
EDIT5(8/10):
First try today morning I got cattle error .. decided to give it one more chance and then I'VE MANAGED TO LOG IN .. character selection and go to the orbit .. then unfortunately I had to go to work :) .. IT SEEMS THAT WHATEVER YOU GUYS DID IT HELPED .. THANK YOU
-
I'm still getting a lot of Beaver and Anteater errors, but at least I can play now as you said. I would have preferred some sort of acknowledgment from Bungie though.

As already stated I'm getting ZEBRA error code and can't log in .. multiple times - roughly for the last 40 min .. restarting, restoring licences, etc. won't help .. any suggestions ?

BUMP - no change in the issue, the new patch didn't manage to fix the cattle error
-
Day 9 - still cattle error and I cannot get pass the log-in screen .. I never had any issues with my online gaming or other online experience, everything works fine .. moreover if this have happened from the day one when I bought the game, but no it started a week later (I could play it without any major issues) and already lasts 9 days.

Edited by TheEsOn83: 10/5/2014 6:02:10 AMOk ... now it's official - a whole week with cattle error !!! I've tried all of the possible community fixes with no luck - I still cannot even log into the game. The only thing I can do is to follow how everyone else is finding new gear and gaining experience - that makes me angry, as I fell left out by the developers and maintainers of the game. What's even more frustrating is the fact that I know that there are more people like me that are left out in the wild and still we can't get any more precise explanation of the issue from Bungie nor Activision. This official info is very uninformative - http://www.bungie.net/7_Error-Code-CATERPILLAR--CATTLE/en/Help/Article/11873. Ok Bungie, what if I buy a public IP from my ISP - should that fix the issue or it has nothing to do with CATTLE ?
-
I am having the same issue as well today
-
Still getting the same error just after 'Press X to play' screen. @Bungie Any future plans to fix this issue ? Any comments ?
-
Edited by TheEsOn83: 10/4/2014 5:54:13 AMI've asked my ISP to reset my connection and after that I am still getting cattle error (right after the log in screen) ... It's close to a week now, still no word from bungie.

Edited by TheEsOn83: 10/3/2014 3:41:51 PMFree evening after a week of work ... and all I get is a cattle error ... every other game is working fine, a pity caused I used to like this one and it got me hooked up .
-
I had this problem for a week, until i got it fixed, what you can try is to unplug your ps4, go and reset your router, count to 30 when resetting it, go and plug in your ps4 and go into the settings and click to make your ps4 your primary device, restore your licenses (should be the option right under making your ps4 the primary device) and then try opening up the game, That worked for me, not sure if i got lucky but you can try that.

This is a joke I'm the same here in Ireland very frustrating

Edited by TheEsOn83: 10/3/2014 11:29:20 AMBTW. I've tried the DNS suggestion (changing from local ISP ones to Google) and no luck ... still cattle in the barn ... Is Bungie actually trying to figure out the issue or they are just focused on playing (crucible bounties), solving other issues discussed in the forums and/or developing new (old) DLC's ?

I'm in the same boat, this is day 5 of not being able to sign in. I've tried absolutely everything possible on my end and I am sure that the issue is with Bungie and not my connection, network or anything else on my end. I played all last weekend with no issues other than a couple of minor disconnects, came home from work Monday and couldn't sign in and haven't been able to sign in since. I posted my own topic here on the forums detailing everything I've tried and asking Bungie for help and I've received no reply from them, I've even tweeted @BungieHelp on Twitter and received no response from them either. @BungieHelp actually tweeted yesterday that "PlayStation sign issues have been resolved". It would seem that tweet is a little premature because I still can't sign in and there are plenty of people on the forums who are still not able to sign in. I am an understanding person and I can deal with a sign in issue no problem. What I find hard to deal with is the absolute stone wall silence from Bungie on the issue. Even a simple "we know about your issue and we're working on a fix" would keep me and lot of other people happy. We don't even know if Bungie are looking into the problem. They may not be bothered putting resources into a problem that is only affecting a few thousand players out of their several million total players. Come on Bungie, say something! Preferably something other than"we have resolved the issue" because you have not resolved the issue.

Edited by TheEsOn83: 10/3/2014 10:24:07 AMNext day - same thing .... Bungie just abandoned us, I guess they don't want to many people to play the game but they need more accounts just to boost their stats. Sadly.
-
Same with me, it's been about a week now and i can't log in. title screen hit X to play and in the corner connecting, signing in and the cattle error. I tried powering off and unplugging the console, resetting the router, signing in and out of PSN. Is there something i haven't tried yet?
-
Really no fix and no response ? I feel ignored.
-
Bump!! Day 3 - no change, no reply . .
