When you treat everyone the same, you treat everyone like they're a bunch of jerks: I really like my Bladedancer in PvP but for PvE he's about useless. Sure he's got guns and a cool looking helmet (can we get a "Mjolnir-like" variant, thanks in advance), but in walks a six story hive behemoth who stole Church's "lazer face" and i can slash at his elephant cankles all day and i might as well be scratching my balls in the corner for all the effectiveness. ONCE, just the one time, matchmaking dropped me into the summoning pit about 12 seconds before he would have died anyway so i ran over and knifed his bullox...he died, but so did I. I look like a kite. I dress like a kite. I have a knife and a pistol like a kite. so, why do i have to resort to relying on HMG and RPG to get anything done. Hunter exclusive handguns or a "this handgun does shit-tons more damage when being used by a hunter" modifier would be sweet. Then i wouldn't be a skinny, armorless titan wannabe. I love the game. I am a farmer. I don't know why. I guess all the ammo boxes and engrams remind me of christmas morning. I'm also patient. The current fix doesn't solve the problem where the enemy spawns in some places are close enough that you can -blam!- three or four spawns just as fast as the Holy Cave (if not faster). If you're trying to MMO, then don't try to "fix" farming. The only reason people are playing the same strikes ad-nauseum is because their style of farming is more acceptable to the FPS crowd. I'm not great at FPS PvP. I'm not even mediocre. But I'm amazing at being patient and nailing the same squad of enemies six-billion times until they start to bleed purple. I think Destiny is already skewed in favor of PvP beasts, and as they get legendaries and exotics like picking up the paper, those of us that come from a more MMO background might start feeling like you don't really want us around. Quite frankly, the "fix" for the treasure caves is a sign that Destiny isn't moving in an MMO direction at all. I hope that somebody at bungie will realize that they've drawn alot of attention from players that don't FPS as well as they farm materials and equipment, because right now, they only/best way to get the best gear is to pwn in the crucible. Vanguard marks and rep don't earn anywhere near as fast as crucible. Maybe balancing the game so that the classes/races/sexes aren't all reskins of the same character. Maybe if the equipment earned from PvP sucked at PvE and vice-versa. Maybe if The game treated the different play styles differently instead of assuming that every player just wants to run around with rocket launchers and LMGs. Maybe destiny could be "legendary" the way Halo and Marathon were. Do something different. Also, don't forget about that MkVI helmet for hunters. Thanks again, BoltActionBrain
