Should you have only one character on your account?
Here is a question I've been asking me since I got my first exotic piece of armor (that was for warlock although my main character is a hunter).
Does having another character created in your account trigger something that makes all your good loot for this new class?
As of right now I've found 2 exotic piece of armor and 1 legendary from engrams. They were all obtained on my hunter and are all for a warlock which I hardly play and my hunter is still naked of exotic gear.
Is it some kind of plot by Bungie to force me using my other character as stated in this post http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/70851524/0/0 ? Well if it was it did work... but I feel kinda weird about that.
Also I've never obtained any gear for a Titan (I've never created one). Does having another class created in your account trigger drop for this class? Should I delete my Warlock if I want all my gear to be for hunter?
What are your experience in that regard:
- Do you get more gear for your least played character?
- Do you get any gear for other class if you have only one character on your account?

Well, if the system is random, you have a 1 out of 3 chance of getting a decrypt for your class. Hence, probability says you'll probably get a decrypt for a class other than yours 2 out of 3 times (on average).

I don't believe it does, my friend had no alternates and he got exotics for both the titan and warlock even though he was a hunter.

1 ReplyIn the game when you decrypt your legendary engrams it specifically says in the notes at the bottom of the item window that if it is a legendary item it will also be a random class. I only have a hunter yet I have warlock gauntlets and a titan helm. This is completely normal. I also have the Destiny Official Guide and it also iterates the same thing. Unfortunately. How random, well that is good a question isn't it.

5 RepliesI have one of each class and race, but I don't think it affects the drops. I don't know,I just don't think so. All the same, I don't mind having the other characters to play with. Adds some variety to the game.
