Anyone else think that now since the "cryptard" got glasses (thanks Bungie <3) we'll most likely never see a f**cking legendary engram? I feel like he (cryptard) as an entirety, is just as useful as a screen-door on a submarine.

I actually hold no ill towards Cryptarch, even in his current iteration. You win some, you lose some. Sometimes I get blues from purples and purples from blues. Sometimes I just get Strange Coins that I turn around and blow on whatever I feel like (although Xur hasn't had anything I personally wanted yet, though I can't resist gambling on Engrams, so he can have my Motes). The last time I spent Coins was for the upgrade for a rare Sparrow to make it more durable and faster, to which I hold no regret since I can definitely tell the speed difference between an uncommon and legendary. But, hey. We roll RNG constantly in Destiny. The upcoming patch will satisfy those that feel they have been "wronged" by the messenger of RNG, which is fine. It'll be a relief to everyone, with myself included.
