They didn't just cut content, but changed the story all together. There was reason for the entire year of delays for Destiny. They had to rework the entire story and re write it through Grimoire cards that didn't even exist about 8 months ago. This thread on Reddit helps us understand what happened to the story of Destiny. It was definitely gutted and an all together different story before Joseph Staten left and Marty O'Donnell was fired from Bungie. Not sure if Antivision is to blame, but something happened, and it wasn't good. Now as the consumer, we have to suffer. I may have a tinfoil hat on my head, but I'm extremely disappointed in Bungie.
