Many people complain because destiny does not have a 'complete story'. When in reality there is a lot more to the game than the actual game. This game is driven a lot more by a backround that is hidden in the actual game. This backround, in one instance, is grimoire cards. The grimoire cards are a peice of destiny that give the game life. If you havent realized, gimoire cards tell backround data of items, characters, and places. All of these cards involve a thought process to connect everything together? Why is that character exist? What is the story behind these people's relationship? All of these require grimoire cards to find out (in some cases multiple cards). These cards connect to make a brilliant story that is destiny. If you lack the mind power to make the connections - you either dont have the right cards in your hands or you should probably stop playing and go pick up COD or something.

Edited by xHAMxSOLOx: 9/28/2014 10:59:47 PMThe overrated "cod" comment eh? You're quite clever. Too bad destiny contains cod mechanics. And cod is the most annoying series ever. Still, gamers shouldn't be dumbed down to a "cod" level because they feel the actual story IN THE GAME is lacking, because it is. Why would I want to go a website to understand the story of destiny? or any game for that matter? WTF? It's retarded. So stop degrading peoples intelligence for pointing out an obviously retarded issue. The fact that an expansion was planned to include story missions before release was sign enough. Not to mention Activision is involved. Can't wait to see how many destiny gun camouflage packs are to come... Whomp Whomp. But seriously, stop dumping on opinionated gamers. Because when you do, you sound like all of the shit talking 12 year olds who play cod.

I agree but also I don't. The grimoire cards tell an amazing story. In fact the way it describes my Warlock as being on the line between godhood and madness on the battle field is so exciting to me that I am left wondering. Why haven't I actually experienced that? I don't feel like a god. I feel like a gravity defying soldier who uses a force push like melee as opposed to that guys knives and that other guys electric punches. And I look like every other guy wearing the same robe with a few repositioned buckles. I think the cards draw attention to what isn't in the game play rather than add to it. They nailed the mechanics though I keep going back just to shoot aliens in the face because it feels good. They just need to step up their story game.
