Engrams - Assists - drop rate
I seem to get a higher chance of getting rare engrams from assists - either via grenade or shooting.
Does anyone else see this?
Is the system rigged to encourage more team play and assists by dropping more bounty?

no, the loot system is completly RNG meaning this is just a coincidence.

I've seen this too. Back when the loot cave worked, I noticed that I got more and better engrams when I let others get the kills.
