I just want to prefix this by saying that I apologize for begging for the hits, but I think that it may be justified.
So it's no secret that I've been very vocal about the many flaws in Destiny; my disappointment is well known. Having said that, I had a great idea that stemmed through a friend's concept and many forum posts regarding a Fire Fight/ Horde mode. A gametype in which up to twelve other Guardians are stationed around specific points of the wall of the 'Last Great City', defending all remaining collective inhabitants of Earth from the impending doom of the Darkness amada would be an amazing addition to Destiny.
It's a pretty simple concept as is, but things like increased A.I/ NPC count, player count, NPC size, map size, new A.I, new NPCs, LOD distance, matchmaking, destructable sections of the wall, spawners, spawn timers, animations, and loot is where it becomes complicated. Four Fireteams of Guardians placed around an area as big as the City is no easy task, but after an ambitious feat like Forge World, I could really see the Bungie engineers getting this working.
As is right now, the Raid is keeping me on Destiny, but if something to the scale of this was added, not only would it revolutionize wave-based gameplay, it would also solidify Destiny as the benchmark to reach this generation. Other games will not be able to rival this... and I say this with The Master Chief Collection in my sights.
This was posted in #Destiny in order to gain traction. Adding your own ideas is very much welcome... and kinda needed.

You should add more to the title so more people will want to read it. "Please read" isn't gonna cut it. I think more people should read and comment on this.
