We are investigating and are finding some strange results. If you are seeing issues that appear to be related to yesterday's even, please do reply and let us know. That said, a number of the problems being reported in this thread are not related. Keep an eye on @BungieHelp and help.bungie.net for updates. [from the thread linked in this post] [b]UPDATE [9/27]: [/b]The fix we are applying is to solve for players that can't get past the start screen to character select without hitting CENTIPEDE. This fix will not help those that are already playing and get disconnected with CENTIPEDE errors. We have applied the fix to the majority of the reported accounts, and there is a good chance you can now play. Please test your account and reply to your post here to let us know if it worked! It is especially helpful for us to hear if our fix is allowing you to play. If you are still having problems please be patient as we apply the fix to all impacted accounts.

  • I am in the same boat as whoever started this thread- I was playing yesterday for a while and then logged out for several hours. When I went to log in last night it kept popping up with error code "centipede"- I know my internet connection is fine and I was logged in to PS4, but it would only allow me to launch the game and then the error code popped up before I can even have the opportunity to click on my guardian. Gamer tag: xoxoerin8701.....Today I'm experiencing the same issues- with just my log in, my boyfriend can sign in to his PS4 account and launch the game successfully and he has been playing for hours today (this is very irritating). PLEASE tell me I have not lost my guardian and that I will not have to start over!!

  • I had some network issues but upgraded my cable modem and got a new cable line and it fixed my network issues until yesterday. Now I can't make it longer than 2 minutes in the tower or 5 minutes in game without a centipede or canary error. This game is -blam!-ing unplayable now. Oh and yes I tried your worthless "network" troubleshoot and I have a wired connection to a how network with static ip, opened ports and my xbox one on my router dmz. I have done everything asked for and more.....fix your damn servers and network bungie

    after the patch i've been getting nothing but centipede error on 1 ACCOUNT not ALL my xbox accounts JUST MY PRIME. i mean wtf bungie i love you guys but this is a Fluster Cluck if ive ever seen one man. i just hope its fixed before iron banner.

  • Having the same issue of not being able to get past the centipede error. I was online during the server fix the other day and got kicked out a couple of times. I logged in later at around 10pm EST and was able to resume normal gameplay without out being kicked out. Did mostly crucible but was finally able to get my queens emblem and shader so I equipped my hunter with them. I also got some armor that brought my hunters light lvl from 22 to 23. I then logged out normally for the night. Haven't been able to login once since. Not to mention bungie profile is unable to load my hunter character. That's pretty much the main scoop of it, hope it can be fixed.

  • X1: I was able to make it into the tower at first, before getting kicked. Now just errors everywhere. T_T Shit happens I guess, but ya'll need better update testing.

  • Ive been receiveing the centipede error sense yesturday on my main guardian.created a new guardian can sign in just fine no issues what so ever.But as soon as i try to sign with my main guardian i get the centipede error again never had any issues signing untill that last update.

Keep an eye on @BungieHelp and help.bungie.net for updates.[/quote] I have a similar problem I got kicked abunch yester at 5 central an at about 9-10 oclock tryed again on my lvl 28 warlock only to get the centipede code then I tryed one of my other characters an worked find only with a few occasional centipede error while playin plz get back to me or the public in genral iv seen abunch of ppl with the same problem an it seems they go unnoticed I love destiny an put 100 hours into my warlock an really feel like I shouldnt have to start over when its obiviouly something on your end bungie plz get back to me an everyone else soon

  • Watching @bungiehelp and its only talking about a new patch for better loot. What is going on? The people who paid $60 and can't even play this game should be the main focus! not on all the whiney people that don't have the patience to get their gear in this loot system. I did it in two weeks with no loot cave currently have a hunter 29 and titan 28. psn dolphin_man12 unable to log in since patch. no errors prior to yesterday. I don't know if this the cause of the issue but i noticed several cases of these bugged accounts dealt with people making a second/third character yesterday. i know that i was leveling another titan when I was kicked out around 3pm MST.

  • I was also online during yesterday's server fixes, but was able to resign in and continue to play yesterday afternoon. Today, I am unable to access the server with this account. Other accounts on the same Xbox device are able to play, so the problem is with my account only. Please help!

  • Have had centipede errors since 1pm EST. Experienced difficulty finding character and/or being told I couldn't play strikes, crucible, or Vanguard missions. Then I was able to get on to start Vanguard missions only to be kicked after a minute of being joined up with other guardians. Please fix asap

  • ever since I got the game I have been having problems logging on or even playing the game. i keep getting stupid error codes. it was a waste of money and im highly thinking of taking it back. i paid $60 for it and cant even play it. bungie your game is a piece of crap

    Just logged in to find everything about my account reset to yesterday sometime. Bounties, light levels, item progression, faction rep, etc. Need help or info please. UPDATE: Just checked on Bungie.net and ALL my character, gear, and bounty progression is correct. If I log on game it is as if it was yesterday in terms of progression.

    I had the same problem I lost all progress made yesterday including completing weekly strike and nightfall strike, losing all bounties done yesterday, losing two legendary weapons I got from engrams, losing all marks, reputation, and material earned during yesterday game session, also lost all progression I made on exotic bounties I'm afraid of putting anymore time into this game if all my efforts are not going to be saved. I would like some kind of response to this issue either find a way to restore lost data or an adequate compensation for the data that was lost. If bungie doesn't give us a response or doesn't give a response I feel is adequate then I might have to move on from this game that I have been enjoying UPDATE: Might have found a way to recover stuff from yesterday. if u go to your character on bungie.net and switch weapons that u got yesterday while ps4 is off then reboot game looks to fix issues with lost gear and loot. hope this helps some of you looks like I still lost some reputation from some of the factions but at least of got the gear and loot I got yesterday

    Hello, as of yesterday at 5pm CST, every time I try to log in to Destiny I get the Centipede error after I press A to play. I cannot even make it to the character select screen. When I log into my Bungie.net account and try to view my character (http://www.bungie.net/en/Profile/1/4611686018429569557) I get a message saying "Unable to load Destiny account. Please try again later.". This has been the case since I started receiving the Centipede error yesterday. The weird thing is that if I am not NOT logged in to bungie.net, I can see my character and everyone else can. its only when I log in that I get the message. Here is what I have done, and none of it has fixed the issue. - Hard reset XB1 - Deleted Destiny and all of its content (expansion pass, vanguard armory, etc.) and re installed. - Forwarded the ports for the Centipede issue. - Put my router into DMZ mode. - Reset my router.

  • So i got kicked off the game yesterday around 5pm, and had a Centipede taking over my destiny account ever since. All my friends are playing just fine, I have been reading the most ridiculous ways to solve the whole animal error problem but its just centipede thats getting me. FIX THIS !!!!

    Come on bungie! It's been already more than 24 hours since I can't login into my main character. As well as the other guys, I was just doing a little bit of everything (patrols, campaign, crucible, etc.) and then I went to the tower to collect some bounties and decode some engrams. After that I was kicked out to the main screen and when I tried to log back in I got the centipede error and ever since I haven't been able to log in. Finally, when I look for my character in the companion app when I am not logged in I can find it and everything looks normal but as soon as I log in I can find my character no more and the message "this user hasn't played destiny" is displayed. Please bungie solve this problem, we all want to continue playing this great game.

  • Update: So my profile is back up on bungie.net and thank you for that. I am still getting a centipede error before the character select screen. I have rechecked my ports and the appropriate ones are open for destiny. I hope we can all find a solution to this asap
