We are investigating and are finding some strange results. If you are seeing issues that appear to be related to yesterday's even, please do reply and let us know. That said, a number of the problems being reported in this thread are not related. Keep an eye on @BungieHelp and help.bungie.net for updates. [from the thread linked in this post] [b]UPDATE [9/27]: [/b]The fix we are applying is to solve for players that can't get past the start screen to character select without hitting CENTIPEDE. This fix will not help those that are already playing and get disconnected with CENTIPEDE errors. We have applied the fix to the majority of the reported accounts, and there is a good chance you can now play. Please test your account and reply to your post here to let us know if it worked! It is especially helpful for us to hear if our fix is allowing you to play. If you are still having problems please be patient as we apply the fix to all impacted accounts.

    I'm getting the same issue. Lots of centipede errors yesterday afternoon. It stabilized in the evening and I got some hours of progression in, but when I logged in today, my progress was reset to the way it was yesterday morning. Edit: Never mind, I just logged in 10 minutes after and my progress has been restored.

    i also get error code centipede and can't log onto destiny. i can't check my profile on bungie.net but other accounts work on my console/network. it's been 4 days now i've been getting error code centipede. i been playing destiny since it came out and done the troubleshooting and NAT Type change. i even got a new router because i thought something was wrong with mine. Can anyone help out with this error code?

  • Console: PS4 Gamertag: OneMillionDemons Switch on earlier today and found I was missing about 3 days of character progress/items/rank/etc. After about 30 mins of play the server was disconnected mid-game. Now the game will not load at all, continuously stating centipede errors. Bungie.net profile suggests that Detiny has never been played under my account. Any chance of an update on these issues? Lot's of people here feeling pretty frustrated.

  • I am still unable to play Destiny due to my account being bugged! I still get the centipede error upon selecting my Hunter in slot 1. Me and my friend loaded Destiny on Thursday around 11am MDT and downloaded the update. We accepted some bounties to complete and took off to orbit. We completed a strike mission with no issues. We proceeded to complete the Restoration mission on Earth to kill the boss. The boss was almost dead when we both got disconnected from the server, I cannot recall the error we received but if I were to guess it was either Cattle or Centipede. We tried logging back in and both received the centipede error. We thought the servers were down so we went to play a different game. After a little while I tried again to log in on my hunter and received the centipede error. I reset my modem/router, restarted my Xbox, and tested all my connections and everything showed up as it should have according to the help paged from Bungie. I tried to log into my hunter again and received the centipede error. I had only one character at the time. I created a warlock in slot 2 and a titan in slot 3, both of which I was able to finish the tutorial mission with while experiencing no problems. On Friday, I logged into the Destiny Companion App and could not see my profile. I logged into bungie.net and received “Unable to load Destiny account. Please try again later.” I asked my friend to log into his profile to see if he could view my profile, he was able to view my profile and see my level 28 Hunter with no trouble. My friend attempted to log in with the character he was playing at the time we got disconnected and was able to play with no issues. Why did my profile bug while his did not? On Friday night I tried to play on my warlock I created in slot 2 and was able to play for about an hour before being kicked off with the centipede error. I logged back in on the warlock and was able to play for about another hour before being disconnected again. At that point I gave up. Today is Saturday and my profile is still bugged and I am still unable to play. I have tried to connect at least once an hour.

  • Its been 16 hours since they gave us an update, are u serious Bungie? Just because the whole Destiny community didn't get kicked off your servers doesn't mean you can just forget about those of us who did. I don't think I'll buy another Bungie game after this, its just pathetic.

Let people know that their legendary and exotic items got jacked, deleted, whatever... You think I'm looking forward to finding my account with shyte missing out of it?? Sounds like everyone that's been able to log on again is missing nice things.. seems like you guys are really trying to hold on to your community here.. BY TELLING THEM NOTHING???     I have the same issue. I can get to the character screen, but when I try to log on I recieve the message: You have lost connection to the destiny servers. Your permissions to access online multiplayer gameplay may have changed or your profile may have been signed in elsewhere. I was able to play without any errors until the hotfix.   • Please help me Master. I am sure my account has been affected. I was plying about the time of the other account holders and am now unable to get into the destination screen. I gat booted out then "vulture" error code comes up.

Your Permissions to access online multiplayer gameplay may have changed or your profile may have been signed in elsewhere. For more information, visit bungie.net and serach for error code: Vulture My account subscription does not expire for another 9 months, so whats the deal ehre?
