We are investigating and are finding some strange results. If you are seeing issues that appear to be related to yesterday's even, please do reply and let us know.
That said, a number of the problems being reported in this thread are not related. Keep an eye on @BungieHelp and help.bungie.net for updates.

[/b]The fix we are applying is to solve for players that can't get past the start screen to character select without hitting CENTIPEDE. This fix will not help those that are already playing and get disconnected with CENTIPEDE errors.
We have applied the fix to the majority of the reported accounts, and there is a good chance you can now play. Please test your account and reply to your post here to let us know if it worked! It is especially helpful for us to hear if our fix is allowing you to play. If you are still having problems please be patient as we apply the fix to all impacted accounts.

Up and running again it would be nice if it was easier to see if you were working on the problems people got not just telling us connection problems ur end butt thanks anyway game needs a few tweaks n u got a solid game destiny 2 keep all off destiny 1 get better ships via download n push further into space sorted my 2 cent ta again

Dear Bungie Master. My account still will not make it past the Centipede bug before character selection. It would appear that your fix did not apply to my account. Evilgummybear66 on Xbox One.

I still cant get on. Still cant get to my character select screen. Still bouncing fuming raging that i get the centipede error. Sort it out bungie, i lost my entire 3 day weekend of playing this game and im not happy. Im getting to the point that i'll give up on Destiny and leave my ps4 untill shadow of mordor comes out. Atleast that may be a AAA game that actually functions as promised.

Just an update. Last night I was rarely able to get to the char select screen and got many centipede and cattle errors. Tonight I tested a few things. Tried strike 3 times with bee and lion errors. Tried a solo story on the moon with the same effect. Tried tower with an elderberry error. Then tower again with success. I quickly turned in a bounty and returned to orbit. Been floating here for a while with no errors. Psn veryvestigious ps3

All is back to normal with me and I even got back the items that I had lost. You guys sure are quick. Thanks so much Bungie, keep up the great work :) On PS4

really sorry to waste your time Master, but I am OK now. It was a console issue caused by the unstable network / patches etc it has been having to deal with . I ended up fixing my "vulture" error but pulling the power lead out of the back of the console and cold starting it. This re booting of the system has got everything back in sync. Maybe something for other "vulture" affected customers to try......

Gamer tag: Master Inzo Console: Xbox 360 My problem is I am getting the centipede code error as of last night around 10 pm (est) and I can't connect sometimes at night. What mainly happens is that it comes up and says at the bottom ( attention contacting destiny servers) when it says that it normally kicks me off back to orbit if im in a game and if not it will kick me off back to main screen. when i try to get back on from main screen it says cant connect to destiny servers. So please help me to stay on destiny so i can complete the raid with my friends. If it helps my xbox is plugged up to my router so i am not using Wi Fi.

Not sure if it helps or not but only my profile was affected, I can play on all other profiles connected with my xbox, I think this is maybe because I was the only one playing when the servers were restarted or whatever a couple days ago, but I didn't start having a problem until I logged out that same day and then tried to log back in a few hours later, that's when my account showed a reset of progress and started the centipede errors
