A lot of people were upset about the patch that eliminated the ability to break down the queen's armor into ascendant shards for upgrade purposes, and I understand their pain. Ascendant shards are a pain in the ass to obtain.
But at the same time, I recognize that it shouldn't be so easy to move through the levels. Unfortunately without a reliable source of ascendant materials (apart from raids), it can make the whole pursuit feel futile.
Enter my idea:
What if there were bounties to obtain ascendant materials, randomized to be either a shard or energy. They shouldn't be easy by any means, and maybe if there were 2 or 3 offered per day things wouldn't get too unbalanced. I'm no expert.
It's just my suggestion to help solve the frustration of many non-MMO experienced players. We aren't used to grinding endlessly for a small rewards.
What do you guys think of this idea?
