Legendary Gear, Help
I would appreciate any help or pointers with regard to obtaining ehnanced weapons and armour.
I seem to be stuck on level 24 and have found only 2 purple engrams that turned out to be coins. I have played for at least 8-12 hours now at this level and I have not found nor had the opportunity to purchase better equipment - am I missing something? I tend not to receive any rewards now doing missions, and the rdops I get are mostly green. I have not been able to play PvP because of ongoing connection issues, but I am sure that I have done plenty of strikes to get at least one elusive legendary item.
I really want to tackle bigger challenges but I just don't have the offensive or defensive equipment to do anything higher than lvl 22 challenges.

To pass the level 24 os really hard. You have to play, there's no other way. The only place I get legendary equipment os in vanguard strikes.

Thanks for your replies...I bought some Legendary armour with Vanguard Marks. I can't believe how much repeated play you have to do to rank up though. I want weapons but I am no where near Crucible Rank 3 - having not played PvP owing to connection issues - but if I actually had a life, there is no way I would be able to get any of this stuff anyway.

I have NEVER gotten a SINGLE PIECE OF LEGENDARY EQUIPMENT outside of farming the cave. Of course they patched it so that isn't an option anymore. You need to rank up your Vanguard Rank or Crucible Rank or the rank of a certain faction, at rank 2 you can buy legendary armour, and at rank 3 you can get legendary weapons. To earn Vanguard rep complete Strikes or bounties, to earn Crucible rep complete PVP matches or bounties. To earn reputation towards a faction, find their representative in the Tower, look at their gear, if you like it better than the other faction's gear then buy their Class Item (Bond, Cloak, or Mark/Sash). While wearing a faction's class item all the reputation you earn, be it Vanguard or Crucible, will go towards that faction. Other than that you just have to be lucky. Or farm the crashed Skiff ship area on Venus. Either way.

Or you could do the queens wrath missions after completing one of the bounties guaranteed legendary

1 ReplyRaise your vanguard rep or join a faction and raise that rep. They both sell legendary gear.
