One is talking about an already staggered playing field, where, where one group of people are already behind with little chance of coming back. The other is a game. In a game we all start on the same playing field. If you succeed in a game then you deserve to be rewarded for coming out ahead of other players who started at the same playing field as you. In real life you can be born into first place or last place.

Yet in both real life and in the game, the person from the bottom can fifht, scratch, and claw their way to the top and get nothing in return. In fact they don't even want anything in return. I'm pointing out the fact that people are demanding rewards for amazing feats. Sometimes you do awesome stuff and get nothing, the only person who needs acknowledgement is you. Video game used to be just beating something for the sake of beating it. That's it, no proof, no reward, just the knowlegde of having made it through

Entitled? Lol In my job you were rewarded for your hard work every 2 years. The hardest working, technically skilled, most competent people were promoted, given more responsibility, better treatment, and better equipment. And I worked my ass off every 2 years and I retired from full time work for the same company after 11 years of working because I saved and worked for my money, my company even helped me maximize my retirement packet and left a wide open job for me to come back to if I wanted. Yeah I was -blam!-ing awesome and it showed in my work and my rewards. So I got some and then more kiddo, i'm probably your -blam!-ing dad, but then again I couldn't be because I wouldn't raise a -blam!-ing kid who believed just because there's RNG shit is fair, or that Shitbag joe doing heroin during work or nothing during a game should get the same or better rewards than a guy busting his balls off 10+ hrs a day or carrying Mr.Shitbag through even a strike.
