They're improving the game by fixing issues which the community has complained about, and you get mad at them because of that?
Weapons in the crucible needed balancing, cave & wipe farming needed to be fixed, and pretty much everyone wanted voice chat. So I'm happy with these (upcoming) changes, why aren't you? Because the cave - a place which made a lot of players play the game in a a way the devs hadn't intended - got killed?
-
To put things simply, most of these are problems that should not have existed in the first place.
-
Because all of the problems that they are fixing should have been good to go at launch. But this is the current way that most developers do things. They think its ok to sell a shit product if they say they'll fix it in the future.
-
The biggest problem is lack of content
-
No. They are working on ways to make everyone play the way they want us too. Like the vanguard marks, loot etc weren't enough already.
-
Unless they rewrite this awful story, give main characters like the Ghost some actual character, make bosses more than resized mobs with extra HP and make a loot system that actually rewards skill instead of being all RNG all day, the hate will continue.
-
Because fixes should be done from back to front not front to back. Like in instance of loot farming they should have fixed drop rates and rarity percentages first then got rid of the loot cave when it became unnecessary to farm for engrams. That and server issues still exist, the raid is still bugged at the end, arguably pvp needs balancing but they chose the cave as the top priority. Also removing shards was completely unnecessary. You have a limited number of times you can do a queen's bounty it's not a sustainable method of farming and you actually put some work into getting the armor.
-
The disappointing thing is, bungie knows how much people liked the cave. The community loved it. Even if it wasn't intended to be that way, taking something away that the community enjoyed, seems like a very bad move. I could see them fixing it, if the majority had a problem with it, but that wasn't the case. The majority actually approved of the cave.
-
Because people dont have anything better to do.
-
It's because more people liked the loot cave than hated I didn't see a need for crucible nerfing or balancing and they basically just made the game harder than ever with still nothing to do but grind for shards that still rarely show
-
after today Bungie is the problem Give you the Queen missions to get upgrade and they even told us that two days ago and now take it away what a joke there is the problem we did not add the Queen to do this they did and I 2 days kill it today BS
-
See they don't want you to get every thing fast. They want everything in the game to take a long time. The longer it takes you to get gear, weapons, material, rep, and so on the longer the game will last. The game is meant to last a long time. So they are fixing these problems so it takes longer, the way they wanted it to be.

Edited by HykCraft: 9/25/2014 8:37:02 PMThey are not working to make the game better.. they are working on making the game worse by not fixing the actual issues of the game... which led everyone to use the loot cave as is. No one seems to understand that. There's far bigger issues in this game than just the loot cave.
-
These are all valid points but you didn't mention the Queens Wrath rewards, where you no longer can get shards from. A limitation to this shards like getting just 1 - 2 shards would be okay, but dismiss it in general takes away the sence to do this missions for many people.
-
lets see no point in doing queens wrath and the fact drops as a whole got reduce yeah fixing shit clearly.
-
Excellent patch
-
The RNG loot system is what drove people to farm the cave in the first place, since drops were guaranteed there. Now coupled with the fact that you can't get ascendant materials from dismantling the rewards gained from the Queen's bounties, its like getting reprimanded for stepping out of line. I am happy about the weapon balancing and voice chat, but you just can't ignore the downsides to this update.
-
The biggest three things still haven't been addressed Communication Match making Bosses dropping loot All they did was nerf a bunch of stuff people were having fun doing
-
Well that is easy to answer Mr. Fanboy. Bungie is merely fixing symptoms to an already diseased and plague riddled game. So rather than fix the actual problems they piss more people off.
-
Chat should have already been there. Most of the content, SHOULD HAVE BEEN ALREADY THERE.
-
Hate is easy on the internet. Noone has ever been punched by an online forum for being an arse.
-
You know, given your six-year tenure, I would have guess you'd have figured out by now that the Bungie community is the definition of an unpleasable fanbase. Remember the title updates for Reach? Or Halo 3, for that matter.
-
Bungie -blam!-ed up and they need to be told of it and made a example of... that kind of shit never happen's again I'm shocked and hurt as a gamer that gamers out there feels this is "alright" it's NOT alright!
-
Because the rewards from Queen's Wrath are gone for the people with Legendary gear.
-
This is why I'm upset The issue that I have with this part of the game is that I can kill waves of level 5 mobs and get a ton of blue engrams and a few legendary ones, but I can do a ton of level 24 strikes and heroic modes and kill waves of level 24 mobs and never see one legendary engrams and maybe at the end come away with 2 or 3 blues. This is what pisses me off I feel like doing strikes are a huge waste of time, they can take forever and have the smallest payout. All I have been doing is strikes and have got Jake, my one and only legendary piece came from the cave. They really need to buff strikes and the rate strike enemies drop engrams...And let them drop purple ones for God sakes. As it stands now I have to keep grinding away at strikes playlist(cuz I need the matchmaking) and get very little returns for doing so. Tldr It's cool to nurf the cave but that should have been done at the same time they buff strikes drop rate
-
Some of the stuff they fixed should have been picked up on in the BETA. And the Beta should have been longer.
-
To late im selling this game when The master chief collection comes out #Halo #will #never #Die
