Darkness and despair.
It was always meant to end like this.
Pushing himself up off the surface of the battleship's deck, Ktan looked around as the once great Floodian armada burned and sank off the coast of Density; few ships remained seaworthy. They had been preparing to assault their enemy at their home for weeks; planning to strike their adversaries on the date they considered most holy, the antithesis to the day of Porch. Their troops ready, their weapons primed, and their shocksite bombs armed, they only had to wait one week for their finest hour. But they never got to see it. As soon as these plans were made public, he came. Laying waste to the Flood in their own homeland, he pillaged their great forum and reduced it to ash. He destroyed friendships and broke trusts among the once close-knit province. He mentally scarred even the most battle-hardened troops, and drove the less experienced into madness. The Flood was already weakened by the Great Exodus, and this crushed them. Their military nearly completely layed to waste, the Flood retreated and their final assault on their enemy cancelled.
Now, here he was; leading what few forces the Flood had left against the Desticular hordes. It was a suicide mission, but a noble cause nontheless. But, this mission was doomed the second he heard of it. The Warmaster came, and waged unholy warfare against the remnants of the Floodian Military. Picking up his sword and dusting the debris off of both it and himself, Ktan ceased dwelling upon the past and became set on fighting in the present. He had to find the other few people who still remained in the Flood's military leadership. The others had fallen long beforehand, so now only BioSmiley and Sigma remained. Sheathing his now cleaned sword, he seeked to dirty it again with the blood of the enemy. He could hear the terrified cries of his own men, followed by the shrill and cringe-inducing cries of the enemy forces. But those cries were not of fear and desperation like the Floodian's were; they were cries of war and bloodlust.
Ktan made his way to the interior of the ship, and decided to give them exactly what they wanted.
Blood.
