Lol i know right. They said you wanna tell the epic story of how you killed an elite boss in an intense fight. Truth is I have never gotten a drop off of a boss and most exotics come from the cryptark, crucible, or loot cave. What great stories lol.

As others have said before, specific small circle of drops needs to be available for those people who can complete certain tasks. Finish X Strike under X time with 0 deaths? Get 1 of X number of possible (good) drops. Finish X mission/strike with a accuracy rating over X%? drops. That kind of thing.

True I'd like that and skill based pvp ranking to be able to purchase exotics or something. Some skill needs to be more relevant.

Outside the Vault of Glass, the best rewards I've gotten have come from killing thousands of minions – not the bosses themselves. My legend sums up to: "Sprayed enough bullets at zerglings to get epic loot."

I know right. I thought that certain bosses would have a chance to drop the good loot. But no sadly that random level 5 mob has the same odds as the level 28 heroic boss lol.

I don't think I've ever seen a boss drop anything better than a 200 glimmer house banner/etc.

Let's not forget that there's no incentive to do a higher level of difficulty when it comes to doing a daily heroic mission bounty. "Kill those Princes in the Sword of Crota mission? Set that to level 11 'heroic' and lets get it over with."

Or kill Sepkis prime bounty. Alright lvl 6 strike here we go.

Apologies, allow me to clarify: I'm referring to the Bounties to do a certain mission with "a heroic modifer on;" not the Daily Heroic Mission located in the Director.

Oh right Yeh it's true. Killing a level 2 nets you the same drops as killing a level 28 so why bother? It's the only game I have ever played where high level people can farm the lowest level enemies for the best gear.

That is so true man. spent days doing the level 24 Strikes and Crucible and got nothing (was farming marks and rank). Spent several hours with the cave and got most of my weapons including exotics. Very dumb Imo...

Bungie says trading is for losers who can't earn the good stuff. If you're not randomly given exotics for doing nothing, you're a loser.
