Quickest "25 strikes" method? [Answered]
Picked up "Toland's Legacy" (Exotic Bounty) and I've completed steps 1 and 2, now I've got to complete 25 strikes.
Any idea which strike goes the fastest? I'm a level 29 Hunter so I can solo anything.
I completed [i]Summoning Pits[/i] in 9min 30sec from orbit to orbit. I'm gonna try the [i]Nexus[/i] next by skipping everything after the servitors. I'll edit this post with my completion time. [i]Devil's Lair[/i] seems like it would take additional time to kill the walker and Sepiks Prime, since the walker can't be skipped.

[b]Edit: Just confirmed. The weekly heroic strike counts as 2 strikes towards the bounty completion. I also beat the Nexus on heroic lvl 22 in exactly 9mins 30sec. This is equivalent to completing 1 strike every 4mins 45sec. By far the fastest method.
Noteable tactic: The weekly heroic strike has a "Solar Burn" modifier. I killed the Nexus with 5 rockets from the Gjallarhorn (Exotic solar Rocket Launcher) in less than 10 seconds after it spawned. I killed all the Praetorians with Light/Beware (Legendary solar Fusion Rifle) in 1 to 2 shots each, prior to the Nexus spawn. All in all the last part took under a minute, after dropping off the ledge.[/b][/quote]

5 RepliesI ran the nexus 23 times in about 9 mins on lvl 14. Can solo it or bring a friend. Bad juju is great for shards.

8 RepliesEdited by BugSpray24: 9/25/2014 7:12:11 PMNot to be negative, but abandon that bounty. It gives you bad juju, and unless you're a hardcore pulse rifle fan tits not worth all the trouble. Stats aren't great either. I know exotic weapons bounty's are hard to come by, but you can do the nightfall strike and have a better chance of picking up a better weapon. Edit: if this gun gets fixed like GoldenGun says, then keep it.

1 ReplyI'm working on getting Thorn the exotic hand cannon but I'm stuck because I suck at PVP I need 500 points using a void weapon, for each kill I get 5 points toward the 500 and for each death I get 2 points subtracted. Ok so my first run I got 12 points and I lost all but 1 point the second round. I went back in today and lost my last point I may have to bribe someone help me out lol. I don't really like PVP so this part of the mission is more like a punishment lol.

Weekly strike counts for two towards the bounty. It cuts the time down significantly if you can beat that one relatively quickly. P.S. - I have the Bad Juju and it's awesome Edit: Try to get the strikes done before Xur leaves. You need to talk to him for part of the bounty.

I just do the nexus nightfall... counts as 3 strikes and takes like 15 mins each.

1 ReplyIt's not worth the trouble, trust me. 25 strikes, buy a darkness infused weapon frame from Xür [1 strange coin] and then you have to get like 10,000 points worth of player kills in the Crucible. I was infuriated with how terrible of a weapon it is, considering the trouble you have to go through to get it.

Nexus is the other one you can do in under 10 minutes. It doesn't get much better than that though because every strike is going to have parts that you can't skip.

6 min and 15 second no problem nexas kill 3 purple ball in the start run through every one until you get to the boss then stand in glitch spot shot in eye win repeat did it in under 2 hours

1 ReplyJust do The Devil's Lair. I have full legendary gear and a raid weapon. I complete the entire strike in 11-20 minutes. I used that to get my Invective bounty of completing 5 strikes without dying.

Fastest strike i have ever done is where u fight the vex hydra boss on mars. Killing the servitors should take u less than 3 minutes and from there its just quickly making your way to the boss and killing it.

Vanguard 24 strikes, You get good loot, And they take 15 to 20 mins

Just do 24 strikes man. I clear them in about 10-15 min a piece. Should take you 2-3 hours to get tolands legacy.

I've do that last week and it was terrible! If u need vanguard credit do the assault on level 20 if not do the first assault on earth :)

Summoning Pits, run past everything except the first "checkpoint" and Phogoth obviously.

A friend of mine was grinding these and timed Cosmodrome Strike on easy at about 12 minutes. He timed the one of the Venus strikes at 9 minutes. I can't remember if it was priest or nexus. This will also depend on who you get grouped with and if they stop to kill pointless enemies. If you just bypass them and get to the key points you can do them quickly.
