I think it's important to remember, Bungie DEVELOPED this game, they did not release it, it's not their money backing it or publishing it, that's Activision and Activision calls the shots. If Bungie included something and Activision thinks it can be cut out and sold later that is EXACTLY what will happen.
The more I read, watch videos, see reviews going around...the common thing is the game appears to have been stripped and then sold to us with a card that says "Buy the expansion pass now for $$$" - which comes from Activision, who is, guess what, in charge of promotional material, and guess whose name they put on everything? No their own...they know better, but Bungie! Bungie has clout! Bungie made Halo! People will BUY Bungie.
Is Destiny flawed? Hell yes! Is it Bungie's fault, I'm leaning towards not entirely, maybe a little, but Activision...they are the real evil behind this, like all publishers. It's why i refuse to play games Published by EA now. If Activision keeps this shit up, I will boycott them as well. Sure my $70 is less than a drop in their bucket, but if enough people learn how the industry works, who is really charge and how much Publishers -blam!-ing HATE gamers and consumers and just want our money...then maybe we can effect change so this doesnt happen.
TL;DR - Activision is the devil, who ruined our game. Bungie is just doing what they are told for fear of having a labour of love they created sit on a shelf and NEVER been seen because they chose Integrity over Compromise.
