I represented Forsaken Legend in the Vault of Glass last night. We opened the door and wiped on the first boss...A LOT! But...we beat it! On the way to the first boss there was a chest which gave me 2 ascendent shards. So happy with that I was able to upgrade a legendary finally. We made it to the first boss and enjoyed trying to figure out how to do it and it was a lot of fun. The mechanics or the way the fights and such work are awesome and what I was really hoping in a raid. I wish there was a bit more to this in the strikes. I mean just in a very simplified way at least to make it less of a grind.
Our group make up. I was 25 upon entering but shards put me at 26. Everyone was 26 or 27 in the group. 3 defender titans a warlock and 2 hunters. The mechanics of the fights don't have any requirements on what classes are required but some help with different situations and have their advantages. We really didn't care what we had, we just needed bodies and guns. Some of our guns were a bit lacking so we had them focus on the mechanics
We wiped on the first boss...A LOT! A whole lot! very satisfying once you beat it. Again I got 2 ascendent shards, more than happy with I need 20 more to upgrade armor...some guys got new legendary boots, a slight upgrade from what their legendary boots already were. You get the loot automatically, you don't have to search around for it.
Next is the maze. There are a few chests in there, we found 2 chests. I got 2 more shards and 2 ascendent energy from these chests. The maze is intense, well at 4am at least! running and hiding is fun, we had a good time.
Next you have the jumping section which is the only thing they ever showed us about the raid teasers. This again was pretty fun and we had a good laugh. Hunters with their triple jump have a bit of an advantage but everyone was able to make it. If you haven't done the raid, I will let you figure it out as far as where you go from there. :-D or just ask me, I'll give in and let you guys know.
We made it to the last boss and we started the fight or at least the pre-fight before realizing we were past the point of exhaustion. We plan to have this completed tonight! I'm doing my best to not give away a whole lot, even though there are videos out there of the completions by PrimeGuard.

We beat it, well done to eeryone who helped and got us to the point of being able to complete it.
