Bunch of Babies!
Reading everyone's ideas on how to make the game better cracks me up. They had to nerf the game because lots of you couldn't handle it. Now you're asking for better engram drops, trading (which would ruin the game entirely) , more legendaries, limits on exotics , or supers are too powerful in PvP . Why? Because you don't actually want to play the game. You just want everything given to you? The game has been out a week and you already want the best gear? Work for it. This is what happens when you bubble wrap kids growing up. Can't appreciate anything. This game functions great, looks beautiful, and rewards the players like it should.

5 RepliesI don't think on that when I play. I just play, and let come what may. If I get a purple thing, that's awesome. But, I'm not going to whine and cry and complain about RNG if I don't get anything. If I don't get anything, ah well, better next time, crack on. I'm not going to do like Azrael203 is doing a little ways down the page and stomp my foot and gripe about not getting anything when his friends are. Also, I love how completely contradictory that argument is. If the loot drops are random, then they can't be "bad". Because they're random. If something is random, it isn't consistent, i.e.: bad. A [i]lot[/i] of the people on these forums are bound and determined to kill this game for the sake of getting whatever they want. I have faith that Bungie aren't going to let that happen. They will continue to foster the growth of a beautiful, innovative game, that will shine like all of their previous work. Gamers are spoiled rotten, and they hate innovation. I want to see this game grow, not just as a game, but as an artistic medium. I appreciate every ounce of work that went into every aspect of what makes Destiny what it is, the gameplay, the drops, the art, the graphics, the story, all of it. And the thought of some little selfish twerps, fresh off the boat from GTA V, whining and crying about not having their way, and trying to muddle with a game that deserves great things is enough to make me want to flip tables.

3 RepliesJust think.... 10 years of the destiny franchise catering to the cry babies. Not even a month into the release and look what we deal with. At this rate it won't last a year. Hopefully when advanced warfare comes out the cry babies will flock to that.

I'm not asking for higher drop rate, I mean they are legendary for a reason However when I finally get one I want to be sure that I actually got an item for my class and not some materials.

I WANT to work for it, but I don't want to do the same crap over and over again, and fight the same bosses every day. I do that in real life. It's my JOB. Video games should be an escape from this kind of grind. The game should provide incentive to level up. Leveling up should not BE the incentive to play the game. So...if there is no actual reason to have legendary gear, then it shouldn't be so hard to get, EXCEPT if its easy to get then there's really no reason to play the game. It's a gimmick.

I have legendaries for a friend waiting in my vault for him to have because I don't need it, but he does. It's going to help him level up and get closer to my own level so we can play the higher level missions together. Tell me how this is going to ruin Destiny? Because he doesn't have to do the same grind you did? Please.

17 RepliesI have to disagree. Its not complaining because people are not getting the best possible loot drops every time they do something, its because the loot system is complete sh*t. Not only are the drops COMPLETELY random as well as no loot drops after killing bosses, but also, most of the time the drops are not worth it at all for the level you are at. I saw a review on Youtube where the guys friend unlocked a whole bunch of LEGENDARY engrams all to have them decoded as blues and greens. PLUS when you do strikes and things of that sort as well as winning matches in the Crucible, you should be able to get SOMETHING good or at least something period. I have seen people who get more kills, and more precision kills than the other people on the team and he got nothing but shards while the others got Exotics. How the f*ck is that fair? I played in a DOM match and even though we won and i not only got some kills but also defended a point, I didnt get a F*CKING THING! My whole team got a "prize" but little ol' me didnt get a goddamn thing. No one is b*tching about not getting the best gear all the time. What they are b*tching about is how pis poor the loot system is where the drops are random and not worth having especially when legendary engrams give false hope because most of the time they give greens or blue instead of what they look like they are supposed to give.

5 RepliesAs someone who loves taking on games as hard as Donkey Kong 64, Bayonetta, and the Mega Man Zero series, I have to take caution when discussing game difficulty levels. However, I have to agree with you on the whole "kids be spoiled rotten" thing. Games are not like real life; you can't just whine and moan to your parents and have them solve problems for you, kids. You gotta work for your rewards, otherwise they lose all meaning. In an effort to help educate any of the aforementioned youth that may read this, let me explain a few things. First off, yes, trading would ruin the game. Why? Because with the right connections, someone who [i]just[/i] hit level 20 could get an inventory full of traded Legendary gear, and he's suddenly one-shotting everyone in Crucible. Second, we know supers are powerful in PvP. That's what makes them "Super," get it? Why do you think it takes so long to charge them?

Lol I can't believe how dumb people are. Rng makes it possible to have all purple in less than an hour, so to say people are complaining because they can't get the best equips within a week is moot. Not to mention it's been longer then a week anyways.

It seems the game was made for trained or at least loving challenges people, they removed the superiors ennemies from heroic modes. Damn that's the better part of a heroic mission!! I keep dying until i find the good strategy to beat them. That's what making the fight epic. If they find it hard they could play normal modes it's there for that!! But also read that some people are farming them for glimmer and it could be the reason. Geez, one thing, if you want to farm on strikes , please; warn me before, so i would leave the party and if it's needed do it alone, they kept suiciding to respawn just before the boss cuz there's a halley with waves of ennemies . I pointed finger on them at respawn and they seemed to fear report, they finally played the boss and basta the end I move on. Jesus, i don't care the way you play destiny, just let me finish the strike quickly. I have 3 characters and I have to do the campaign 3 times guys, so play the way you want but warn people at the beginning of the strikes not before the end , there are still people wanting to play fairly the strike with me. Thanks

1 ReplyJust wanna point out, the rarity of an engram doesn't dictate that the item contained is supposed to be of the same rarity. The rarity of the engram dictates how rare the engram itself is. Most players who complain about the loot system don't understand that legendary engrams don't promise legendary items. Besides that, people rely too much on random loot grinding when they can buy legendary gear from the vanguard and exotic gear from Xur. The best part is the gear you buy is guaranteed to be what you want

1 ReplyTrading would ruin it, hell I would love it if each guardian you made had their own stash and no trading between them. The random nature of loot and the Cryptarch is what makes the game exciting loot wise, it also gets people talking and joking.

1 ReplyDude, I could not agree more....I got almost 50 hrs of gameplay in and got only one exotic and one legendary...and that makes me appreciate them even more known the rarity. That's what ruined borderlands for me...i was loving that game to pieces playing my heart out in hopes for exotic weapons and stuff. Then one day I met this guy that literally threw down every legendary that was in the game for me...so in excitement I picked them all up and guess what? There was no reason for me to play anymore because I had everything I was previously playing for. Sounded like a awesome idea first...but then the Harsh reality soon kicked in after I realized I f'ked up my game!

People today want everything givin to them without any work. I dont think the game that they r playing matters they would whine and cry about any game they have to put time or effort into. Also the people that want specials changed in pvp dont realize that it wont stop them from sucking no matter how many things they change. They will still scream and yell every death about how bs them dieing is because they can never say to themselves "wow i am a terribly spoiled rotten and lazy human being" instead its "AAAHHHH THIS GAME CHEATS!" and "WHAT NO WAY I DIED THIS GAME SUCKS." If only the world would have a mass outbreak of inteligence, and pride in ones self after working hard to achieve a goal maybe this forum would feel a little less like headbutting a brick wall every time i read more than 2 posts. And i like the person who said u where a cancer on gaming like he even has an idea what he is saying. Another perfect example of how pathetic the world is becoming. Cus yea the person who has a great point about how people today seem to be able to do nothing for themselves and blame it on everyone else is the problem.

7 RepliesI agree. One of my favorite games to this day was the original Devil May Cry. I would play the game, get pissed off at it sometimes to the point of wanting to fling the controller across the room, and ultimately 5 minutes later pick up the controller again and try to beat whatever challenging part I was on. The fun really came from the challenge and sense of accomplishment from overcoming that challenge. Is Destiny without faults? No. No game is however. To me it is a fun game to play with friends and I enjoy the challenges that nightfall strikes and raids bring. Coming from an MMO background dating back to everquest, it is a welcome change to other games of late that do not really offer any challenge.

4 RepliesTotally agree, growing up as a kid in the 90s, I played games like r-type delta, metroid prime, mario etc. there were no rewards for completing, and sometimes it was just knowing you beat it. Games were harder back then and these days kids grow up with easy games where people spoon feed them content with waypoints and little gifts. It's not their faults however, they don't know any better. But as a result we have a large new generation of gamers who whine, complain or argue, and expect certain things from games. I love the game, I wouldn't care if no engrams dropped at all, Just rewards from missions. I found the story odd and sometimes not making a whole lot of sense, but I still enjoyed it.
