I got mine from Normal Atheon. I had to check the Postmaster to find out though, since I got another Vision of Confluence at the same time. Unfortunately it was a few days before the VoG Exotic update, so I'm waiting to use it until after I upgrade it.

Bought it from Xur a while back, never used it and sharded it a while back. Got a new one from Crota a couple weeks ago, think I'm gonna try it out this time

Once got a double red death drop from atheon. It's weak.

I got a legendary drop in the place between the Stepps and the devide. I was in a group of three guardians and it was from my first kill of that patrol. Went back to the tower and it turned into Red death. That was also before the tweaked the drop system.
