We paid 60 dollars and got less hours of story than freaking call of duty. The game that nobody bothers playing the story because its the same story each time. When the talk was updates daily and weekly during hype hour, a lot of us assumed that maybe, just maybe that meant each week there would be a new strike or something added to the story. WRONG. Many of us thought this story would be as immersive as halo. WRONG. Many of us thought it would be at least somewhat open world. WRONG. If 60 dollars buys us 8 hours of story (equivalent to 2-3 chapters of a book) then 35 is somehow gonna blow us away? Sure, maybe there will be another 8 hours of story in free updates but we can safely assume that is once again. WRONG. I think many of us, myself included, are still in love with the [i]idea[/i] of this game. That is going to rub off very soon. I so desperately want a reason to keep coming back to this game but I am having trouble finding one. If we never find a reason to keep coming back, then this 10 year plan will fail. Activision will cut them faster than you can say bungie failed. Maybe the problem isn't bungie at all and this cut up game is because activision=money. (so thanks cod people for making activision so much money so they could possibly ruin destiny) Also, grimorie is nice, its exciting...wait, nevermind. I didn't pay $60 to read a bunch of cut up paragraphs. If I wanted to spend $60 on a book, I would have signed up for a class at the local college. I wanted a video game. Something where I get my story through play and interaction with characters. I don't want to have to read about the story of the game on the internet. That is what you do when you don't want to bother buying/playing the game (playstation had some nice exclusive stories but I'm not made of money here) Basically, all I ask of you is to stop complaining about shotguns, supers, anything blade dancer, cave farming, crappy loading screens, terribly designed rng, the money and time you wasted and start complaining about this story line. If they are planning these free content updates with more story, (still doubt that) I would prefer them to not be so far apart that they lose its player base in the process. Only one game out there can successfully do that and thats WoW. They aren't WoW and at this rate, I will never be a legend. Quick note: not a cod fanboy. not a bungie fanboy. just a paying customer who knows when Activision is screwing us...again.
