My boyfriend and I are playing destiny on two separate PS4's on the same router, both with wired connections and reserved IP addresses. We can play separately and with friends without running into any error codes or disconnects, but as soon as we try to play together we run into issues. Every time we do missions or explore together, one of us gets error codes (usually Beaver, Inchworm, Flat worm or Eel) followed by being booted from our team of two (and into orbit) or booted back to the loading screen. We can play other games together without any issues, so this is definitely tied into Destiny/Bungie.
Has anyone else been running into similar issues and been able to fix it? We purchased a second PS4 so we could play Destiny together, and now it's more frustrating than fun. Or does anyone know WHY we're having these issues? Any help or feedback would be great! :)

2019, Two-thousand and NINETEEN. This is still an issue, “reconnect” after “reconnect.” Like they looked at this forum and shot us the bird. Thanks Bungie.

Edited by UnDead11B: 10/6/2017 12:52:46 AMI had this issue with my console and my wifes. Easy fix, get a hub switch (think that's what it's called). Plugs into your modem and then you connect both consoles to the switch. Haven't really had too mamy issues since. Still some disconnects but nowhere near the amount of before. Also having a 2in1 wireless modem or any modem from your service provider is also a contributing factor. Consider investing in your own that is compatible with your kind of service. It'll also save you a few bucks on your bill since you are currently renting the one you have now.

Edited by Clansimmons: 1/7/2017 5:01:35 PMIt's now 2017! I have done all the router changes Bungie advises but still no way I can play destiny with my son... Really frustrating! It would be great to get some sort of communication from Bungie as there is very little on any posted comments on this issue. Please don't let Destiny be one of the only games families can't enjoy together... We Guardians like to stick together!

I have the same problem.

Edited by KILLGORE747: 9/22/2014 12:27:16 AMMe and my roommate are have the exact same problems on xbox one... Can't Figure out how to fix this. Which is a real pain.

Wife and I are having the same issues. I have checked my Router and opened up all the ports listed, static IPs but no luck.
-
Same here - 2 PS4s, almost always get booted when we try to do things together (specifically visit The Tower), but if we do separate things, we're fine. At this point I'm wondering if the 2nd PS4 is even worth having.

Me and my roommate got the same problem. the difference is that we are still playing on PS3 but the error codes are the same and we also get kicked if we are on the same map. does anyone have an idea how to fix this yet?
-
Same thing with two Xbox One's. Never have any connection issues until my roommate also gets on Destiny.
-
The reason people are getting kicked out of the same game on 2 consoles within the same house is because Bungie is looking at your ISP IP address. (different than the routers 192.168 address) 1. A few suggestions would be to go into your router settings and put 1 PS4 or Xbox into a DMZ with MAC address filtering. 2. Steal your neighbors wireless and game on it so you both have different ISP IP's 3. Put 2 separate modem/router on your cable line (Might have to pay twice as much which is crap) 4. Wait for bungie to fix on the server side allowing 2 of the same IP's from an ISP

Same issue here. Girlfriend and I constantly error out. Whoever turns their PS4 on first is the only one that can play the game normally.
-
I have this exact same issue with me and my 2 roommates on ps4. If we all play separately, it works fine. But if we make a fireteam. We get disconnected. Did you ever find a solution?
-
Me and my son are having same problems with ps3. SO It's is something to do with bungie
-
My brother and i have the same problem
-
Same. Bungie needs to get on the "functional, communicative support" bandwagon (hint: this hip new trend started years ago). When the support article for every error code is identical I find it really hard to care about Bungie's efforts to communicate vital facts with the community, whether it be the astounding number of Guardians named after US presidents or the brand of Deej's favorite scented candles.

I hope bungie gets this fixed soon. I have the same issue. My roommate just got the PS4 Destiny bundle and I was looking forward to playing with him. Sadly now I can't...

Edited by AceMan: 12/4/2014 2:00:49 PMMe and my wife just dropped another $400 on a second PS4 just so we could play destiny together, and are having the same problem. I tried everything, and nothing changes. Destiny is telling me I have 'nat type 3 - strict' and my system is saying 'type 2'. I have used upnp, dmz, port forwarding, resetting, adding a second router, trying different configurations, and nothing works. Matter of fact. She turned her system completely off, and my system (even after system and Internet reset) kept kicking me and lagging over and over. Even tho my system has always worked fine before. Actually looks like I may not be able to play destiny anymore. Also, I'm pretty sure a 30 mb/ps speed is sufficient.

We are meeting exactly the problems described here with 2 PS3 in one network. I also tried with static IPs and even a DMZ, but it won't help. Are there any information if this problem is going to be fixed? Or if the problem is even acknowlegded as a known error?

Try following this for both IP's http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post?id=69790738

Me and me girlfriend have same issues and got also a error code with cockatoo Dear destiny I want my money back for the game because i bought it to play it with my girlfriend and not for continues get kicked from the servers or just fix the problem ASAP

Hi! My husband I and I do the same thing, we don't have reserved IP addresses, we just have ours set at automatic on our PS4's and we have no issues when we play together. We're both wired from the same router. The only times we ever get error codes is if we're playing solo and there's heavy traffic.
