So, Hit & Miss'
So, the games been out for two weeks now and we've see a fair share of reviews about it and although some are straight up nasty we, as a clan are still standing strong.
So like the title, what was a Hit for you and what's a Miss?
For me, the gameplay mechanics (controls and fireteams vs swarms) is just too damn fun. Loot and gear is just perfect for me as well. I also strongly enjoy the scify world they created. So much to play with! Very impatient to see what happens.
The Miss, mostly mission design and very few twist and turns in the initial launch story. Although I still have my hopes up seeing that it's supposed to be a 10 years story arc.
What about you guys?

Total hit with me; I can't think of anything I'd call a miss (except my aim in PVP). I've lost so much sleep jumping on and playing. I don't mind the slow/awkward story build. I'm also a fan of Jaws/Alien type slow build suspense, so for that aspect it's right in my wheelhouse. I'm not even good at the FPS style (been a FF RPG guy most of my gaming career), but the mechanics and the teamwork just makes it too damn fun. I've spent $60 in much worse ways than this.

The only crib I really have is no lobby to meet up with your clan to play multiplayer and set up custom games

1 ReplyOk boys so here is my perspective....I love that the game is new and fun but on the other hand I feel like I've been tricked. I bought the game $60 (normal one without any extras) expecting a full game. With a great storyline, new worlds, cinematic cut scenes. You know what we would expect from a BUNGIE game. But in all honesty we didn't get that. I slightly feel robbed. If you have ever boughten a halo game you got all of that. So when I say robbed its because YOU HAVE TO BUY THE EXPANSION PACK otherwise you can't continue the story. So I spent the same amount as the next level game package but without the perks it came with (heroic/legendary editions) The best thing that came out I this game and is making me find all the time I can is THIS CLAN! I understand that they're leaving the story vague for ease of writing more in the future but they could have provided a little more detail. I wish there was a chat interface built-in. For those of us that can't use a mic it makes communicating very difficult. I've been using the PlayStation app on my phone(when it works) or the chat system built-in to the ps3 interface, but both are slow to use. The only other thing I would suggest adding would be a cleaner way of joining fireteams. In DCUO if you're playing in an area and see someone you want to group up with or you want to join up with other league/clan members you can just invite to group and that's it. No loading involved. Edit: No maps! Totally missing the fact that there isn't a map. Other than that it has been a great experience and I can't wait to see what's in store for later content. Maybe they'll add more classes and/or subclasses.

Most everything is a hit. I just wish there were easier ways to customize my character. Armor shading is cool, but it lacks that personal touch. I agree with others about the throwaway weapons and gear. But I do love this game.

10 RepliesFor the most part, the entire game is a hit. Mechanics, story (though it is a bit weak, but I love the queen, creepy/crazy/sexy in a Rocky Horror kind of way), the stuff, especially after hitting L20. The misses: no sound control. I've tried another pair of headphones which work better, but I'd like to hear my fireteam over the music. The fireteams are a bit too small. The stuff we get seems a bit too throw-away. I wish we could adjust them more. I want guns to love, not ones we just toss at the slightest sign of a higher level.

1 ReplyLoving it mate to be fair, most of the reviews don't account for the fact it's a on going saga and just review it as "finished" When wow was first launched it needed building on, a good foundation could see them do very well Monkey

Hit. love the graphics and game mechanics miss. Running pve and solo the end bosses in some of the storys need to spawn to team size, tired of getting my ass whooped unless im like 2-3 levels above em

The graphics are good, the gameplay mechanics and combat are excellent, the story is weak (the actual story mission is short, not much explanation yet about what the Traveler is and how it uplifted humanity, why are there jungles on Venus, where did the aliens come from, etc), cutscenes have great animation but are short and uninformative... Have to say Mass Effect 2 and 3 are better games so far.
