When your one (ONE) strange coin away from buying your first exotic and your wife and kids say "let's watch Captain America: The Winter Soldier Blu-Ray!"
Outside response: Suuure!
Inside response: Noooooooooooooooooooooo!!!
P.S. Special shout out to ALL the whiners who got the loot caves and Queens Wrath Legendary gear NERFED. Thanks for slowing my 6 inch a hour march to Lvl 30 to A CRAWL.

I feeeeeel your pain!
-
Complaining about the game being to difficult would make you a causal. Have real world tasks and or things to do does not. It's not how much but how you play cheers mate.
-
My response... " No......... Go spend more of my money, just let me spend my strange coin....."
-
I feel your pain. =(

I have a three year old boy to but he enjoys watching me play...and my girlfriend plays with me so it's about the best thing ever
-
Not a dad but I feel your pain. All i wanted this past weekend was to play destiny ALL weekend. I had beer bought, pizza in the freezer, soda in the fridge, ready to go! Then my gf comes over wanting to watch netflix on Friday and Sunday, I get invited to a football game Saturday, and a preseason hockey game Sunday. Dont get me wrong, all are fun, but i just felt like I didn't get to do what i REALLY wanted to do... I dont get to play too much during the week due to work and stuff.
-
I feel you, I'm 27 and a father of three.. Combine that with the fact that I work a ten hour shift, it's hard to get any real game time in.. and when ever I do manage to it always seems like my wife wants to play her Hunter at the same time so I am forced to choose between playing or letting her.
-
I'm 24, married, and have 2 kids. Once I get off work and we get the kids to bed my wife wants me to spend time with her (usually to watch a movie or some show..) most of the time I have to get up around 4 am and play a few hours b4 work, then repeat.
-
Also agree join DadsOfDestiny we understand and relate thats all i say

Father of a four year-old. Friday night after he goes to sleep is pretty much my time to play, with the occasional after hours session if my wife goes to bed early or something like that. I may not have the gear or the skills but I sure have fun with my son and enjoy some Destiny when I get the chance. Also, I only have found 2 strange coins, so just needing one is pretty good in my book!

Edited by Randy Shibai: 9/21/2014 11:09:35 AMI'm a dad of a three year old with a great wife that gets I need my time. My daughter loves to sit and watch while I play. When I would give a 3 to 1 countdown in vault against Templar my daughter would mimic me. She walks around the house going, "3,2,1 SHIELDS DOWN." I love it. My wife enjoys seeing us bond like this. I couldn't ask for anything better.

Feel you. I'm 24 and been married a year. It definitely makes you grow up fast. Life first, games second. Unfortunately that does burn a little sometimes. I'm lucky even if I get time on weekends. Hardcore inside, casual outside.

So I am cool with playing when the kids go to bed. So last night my wife gets the baby to bed while I am hanging out with my 4 year old watching a movie; a kids movie....no interest to me, so I might have closed my eyes for half of it. Daughter falls asleep too, I wake up and carry her up to her bed, run down stairs, and since all my stuff is maxed for the week I head to the infamous cave (the casual gamers boring grinding spot). I hop on and run into people just dancing in the cave....they shoot at me, I go to orbit and reload, finally get a good group dumping endless rounds into the cave. Do some missions, get some spin metal, grab public events, and get loot till 1am. This morning before work I get; Wife: "When I mean wait until the kids go to bed, I don't mean fall asleep next to them and then wake up and play games all night." I have to come up with a sure fire strategy until level 29....

As a caveat, if anyone is interested, a bunch of my military buddies put together clan, its not much, just a few guys gearing up to try the Vault of glass. the Group is 11 Bravo which is the designation for "Infantryman" in the Army.

hahahaha it happens to me a lot...i have no kids but my wife demands attentions...and she hate when i play videogames....that's sad but well..i'll be always playing....i also have the novel's she always watch...the strangest thing is that: if i play for an hour she say i'm playing for many hours... if the watch the novel(here in brazil we have a lot) from 18:00 pm than 19:00 and 21:00 pm she say it's normal and she will only watch more one... and i have to say...ok my dear.....
-
I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old, I don't get much time to play so I use http://www.destinyteamfinder.com to find a group quick and make the most of the time I do have. Somehow i need to find a way to get my wife out of the house when the kids go to bed so I can have the TV to myself.

Edited by DresdenWarlock: 9/22/2014 5:56:49 PMI'm 27, father of a 7 year old and a 2 year old, wife brings home the bacon. There's a gap in my day where during my youngests nap time and my oldests time at school and while the wife is at work. For four hours each day I have the ps4 and tv to myself. No Doozers, no kids Netflix, no meal prep, driving, errands. It's all my time for gaming. Then kids go to bed at 7:30, thank the gods I have an awesome wife who wants to watch me play. She hits the hay at 9-9:30 and if I don't fall asleep massaging her, I can get up and put in a couple more hours before it gets into the danger zone of not enough sleep. Good to be a stay at home dad.

Edited by bluetarragon: 9/22/2014 5:54:36 PMI know how you feel. I am married and have 2 kids aged 9 and 13. However! I can remote play Destiny on my Vita if they want to watch the main tv and I can still sit with them. Works perfectly and is great fun on the Vita. Also I have a second PS4 in our bedroom and a second copy of Destiny. Sad but can play pretty much anywhere in the house now. My son and I can also play Destiny in the house together.

I rate Destiny as 4 star potential marriage ender. I love you babe, but these three witches have to be killed

Everyone that can relate needs to check this out. They're a great group of players: http://www.dadsofgaming.com/SMF/index. ;

I know that feeling. At least it was a decent movie.
-
Proper response: Sure kids, one of you carry on playing for me until you find another coin. I'll sort out some snacks for the movie while you guys learn how to farm in my absence. Think forward. :)
-
