When your one (ONE) strange coin away from buying your first exotic and your wife and kids say "let's watch Captain America: The Winter Soldier Blu-Ray!"
Outside response: Suuure!
Inside response: Noooooooooooooooooooooo!!!
P.S. Special shout out to ALL the whiners who got the loot caves and Queens Wrath Legendary gear NERFED. Thanks for slowing my 6 inch a hour march to Lvl 30 to A CRAWL.

I feel you bud. What console you play on?
-
Welcome to Dads of Destiny!
-
I can relate to you my friend . Now I mostly play past midnight
-
My first baby is due in January, I only hope I'm sick of Destiny by then so that when I have no time to play it I don't feel too bad lol
-
Lol. No kid in the picture, but I feel your pain, brother. I need to get crackin on man cave ASAP. I'm hoping I drink enough beer with my wife right now during the notre dame game so she passes out and I can get on destiny in a bit :)
-
You never would have made it to 30 from the Loot Cave anyways. Quite literally impossible.
-
Not that I'm gloating... But I am. 32 married to a beautiful gamer girl. Our weekend is filled with hours of destiny and other games. We all so have full time jobs that stop us from playing during the week (sucks). Or lounge room has 2 Xbox 360, 2 Xbox 1, 2 tv's 2 ps3 and at the end of year will have 2 ps4, let's not forget the 2 computers as well... I feel like a very lucky man when I meet this girl. Hence why I took her off the market ASAP... Lol

I'm 35 years old, been married for 7 years and I have a 4 year old son. I'm a veteran gamer since the Atari 2600. Being a parent is about the hardest, most frustrating, greatest thing I'll ever do. The Glass Vault has nothing on parenting for difficulty. I choose not to play when my son is awake, for now. I'd rather spend real time and interaction with him. I'm not saying my way is the right way, it's just the way that I'm choosing. As soon as he goes to bed, "Xbox, go to Destiny" can be heard. Now that being said, I can't wait for him to get old enough to play games with. It will be epic. When he eventually moves away, we'll always be able to hang out in a game together. The future will be something spectacular. Just don't forget to put the controller down and play with them too.

I know the pain as does everybody here, married no kids yet. Two cats and a dog right now but I hear the same thing. " honey let's watch a movie" and I'm thinking dammit!!!!! Hence fourth why I'm still a level 16 titan
-
Glad my gf plays games so I won't have that problem
-
Lol I know exactly how you feel. And I totally agree about the cave. Instead of addressing the glaring issues, they cater to the 1337 whiners. Some of us don't enjoy spending what little time we can over the weekend to play and end up with nothing. Gear equals progress. My progress is just this side of non-existent.

Those feels. I know them. I'm on paternity leave because our second child was born at the beginning of the month and between her and her almost 2 year old brother, I don't get to play near as much as I would like. There's a lot of late night sessions after he goes to bed, the wife doesn't mind that I play and such so that's a bonus but once I go back to work in a week, my availability to play is probably going to be slim to nil.
-
Ps Vita Remote play Is your best friend for these situations. You can even bring it to bed with you
-
I work full time, I study as well, I have a wife and 2 kids. I feel your pain. My solution is getting up at 3am and playing til 5am. Then gym and work. And then playing from 10 - 12 at night. No sleep. But plenty of time for everything!

My concerns with this hot fix are they took away ways to acquire needed items before fixing the jacked up loot / engram system. Also, their defense of Cryptard is nuts. If they wanted engrams to convey they could turn into any level, they shouldn't have given them the colors and names that differentiated. Instead of making it blue and calling it rare or purple and calling it legendary, since it can turn into anything from green to yellow, they should have just made all engrams turd brown and called them meh or just engram. I don't see the need to get folks hopes up on purpose. Also, nerfing the engram rate after a hard wipe (your whole team dies in a dark zone and you get reset to the last checkpoint) in strikes absolutely SUCKS for a casual. Yes, I understand folks were deliberately dying in places to exploit rapid engram drops, but their solution is a double edge sword that penalizes casual players. Now if your whole team dies honestly, you get your engram rate nerfed. Makes you want to play it safe and not pick hard strikes. If you want to put sidewalks between buildings the best way to do it is to make a yard of green grass between the buildings first. The ruts people put in the grass will show you where to pour the cement. The fact that folks were committing suicide on purpose in strikes or shooting hours on end into a cave to farm engrams speaks VOLUMES about the loot / reward system. Bungie billed this game as one that even a person with limited time could enjoy. ORLY? A nightfall strike and raid are level locked behind a level 26 door and with the current system in place you have to be a hard core PvP crucible loving hard core player with hours to play every day. They need to fix the reward system / economy / loot drops.

Lookin for people to do raid, message me on Xbox one , Lewis Da Beast

I'm 27. No kids. Lots of pets. My boyfriend games on his side of the living room. We each have a gaming pc, and xbox360, I have ps3 as well. So yay! We plan on a kid someday but not now. Too many games to play.
-
Don't have kids but I know your pain. The woman wants to watch her netflix shows all the time and since our other tv is busted....
-
When destiny launched I took my pc screen with hdmi and full hd downstairs. And now they can watch ehatever they want and sitting next to me and I play destiny
-
You can't get to level 30 from those cave drops anyway. Don't worry about that.
-
Uhh am a dad and a soon to be husband i workfull time and guess what if they were all "Let's do this" im like "already done my work for the day bitch!" Sort of true story lol
-
I feel you man. Except no kids. I'm working 12 hours a day for like 2 months straight. Hardly any time to play.
-
I've taken to waking up a couple of hours early, to get an hour or so in before work. That only works because I don't have kids though, just a fiance that gets bored easily.
-
I feel your pain. Wife has even been so cruel as using "xbox turn off" voice command. Soul= crushed
