I hear ya! Constantly sharing the tv with wife and 10 month old here at home is rough. Plus the Army stationed me in Germany so the time difference makes it a challenge to play with all my buddies back home.

I kno your feel bro... Thank your family for giving you extra life out of the game. And I hope your journey has been shortened by the latest patch. I agree that there needed to be changes, but I played for one day and received 4 exotic weapons, 3 exotic armor pieces and more coins and Shards than I know what to do with...The update pretty much broke the game. If you need help running the Weekly Heroic to get 9 coins hit me up, I'd be glad to help another gamer dad.

2 RepliesYeah I found it's bad enough having a wife. I've convinced her to hold off on kids for a while. I just simply can't see the good in having kids outweigh the financial commitment and loss of personal time etc. But I still get annoyed when I'm way into a game and my wife wants to spend time with me. Then she proceeds to sit on her phone and scroll through FB and show me what she feels is funny while I sit there waiting.

3 RepliesYea . I'm with you on that. My wife has been a Basic B since I have started my epic grind. She always says "just pause it" I try to explain that with this type of game you can't just pause it. Her response is "Do you know how stupid that sounds". Then I find myself in an epic grind argument that I can't win. Thank you Bungie!!

This.... wait til November all the 9 year olds will be gone and leave for call of booty. We will be left with a game that's nerfed to the ground but at least the crybabies will be gone.

Edited by anthrax99: 10/2/2014 3:17:38 PMsame here, married with 3 small kids. i get in an hour or two everyday after work before dinner. then its tv with the fam, story time, put them to bed. then if im up for it and not too tired i either spend another hour or so watching some adult tv with the wife or putting in some more destiny time. i dont play nearly as much as i would like but i make time where i can find it. if i had my way id play all day and not work. last night i said fck it and stayed up past 12 to get in a couple of extra strikes even though i wake up at 6am for work. im tired today but im happy lol.

3 RepliesSince your a veteran dad and gamer how about giving a rookie like me some pointers on balance. 21 with a 6 3/4 month old I try my best but I am honestly and terrified of the infant stage. I can had the toddler-kindergarten stage but then the rest is blank.how do u find the balance when your older and know your doing a good job as a parent

Since I only play when they're all in bed it's like having another newborn in the house, Destiny is my new child and its wrecking my sleep! I'm just greatful I have so much in my life and if it means I can only grab a few hours (sleep or game) here and there then thats just fine, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Every time I get to play it seems everyone in the house is streaming Netflix on their iPads or Xbox's all at once! Nothing like getting kicked back to orbit just moments before completing a strike! Not too mention the rest of my fire team probably doesn't appreciate my sudden departure!
