Today I had an annoying conversation with some people who said it wrong. Said the correct word was from the 1960s (wtf?). Discuss.

Where I'm from, Italy, and Ohio, we've just called it pop. Although I like to call it soda for the pure fact I think it sounds better to me.

Here in California we say soda. My family in Oklahoma calls everything coke. Do you want a root beer coke, a 7up coke or a Pepsi coke? Sorta how people call pacifiers binkies, or tissues Kleenex.
