I was pretty disappointed when I discovered the shield you get after sprinting a short distance is not a force barrier. It is a temporary shield that goes away as soon as you stop sprinting or after a short amount of time, whichever comes first. Am I missing something, or does this ability seem completely worthless? I'm having a hard time figuring out just how much the shield reduces damage, because it certainly doesn't provide any additional HP indicator or prevent my HP from going down while being shot.
Does anyone have tips for how to use this ability effectively?

Necrobump. It helps against the endless barrage of sniper rifle fire.

My problem with this ability is that it cancels out when you jump or run over a high enough obstacle like a rock. The thing is extremely inconsistent when it comes to duration hampering its effectiveness.

You can cancel sprint by shooting, so you would run up to the opponent (soaking up damage along the way) and blast him with a shotgun.

Sprint at the target , shield comes up . He shoot at you , to no effect , then you use shoulder barge !! You win !!

You nut, it lets you storm into a group of enemies unharmed and then use fists then you book it back to saftey
-
Pve perk since shoulder charge is superior in pvp

Maybe I misunderstand what the ability is supposed to do, but as a Titan that typically charges into battle with little more than hopes and dreams I think it serves as a nice shield to prevent damage for a few seconds while you dish some of your own out.
