Destiny has been getting a lot of negative press lately..

Is it just me, or is there a ton of negative reviews and just negativity in general surrounding Destiny? I honestly cannot seem to understand or agree..this is probably one of the best games I have been able to play in a long time. I hate to lump everyone into a single paradigm, but it seems that most of those that dislike the game or cut it down are individuals that don't get everything handed to them up front and complain about putting in time and playing the game just to play and enjoy it.. I don't get it.. I, for one, absolutely love this game and look forward to seeing it grow and evolve over the years..

I think the problem is the game tried to be all things to everyone which is impossible so parts came off as mediocre at best. For instance I couldn't care less if they took the crucible completely out and had a much more involved story with side missions to expand lore and background instead of dumping it all in a grimoire no one will bother to read. Others I'm sure don't give a flip about the story and wish all focus was on pvp. You can't give everyone what they want. Skyrim rules story, CoD/halo rule pvp, WoW/GTA5 rule social interaction. No way can this game try to do all three at the same time and even approach the standards set by these games. They tried and the result is mediocrity, playable and sometimes enjoyable mediocrity but mediocrity none the less.
